Europa League. Loads of extra games and there's a definite negative effect points wise on teams that play in it, especially a team like Southampton who aren't blessed with a huge squad.

Think this one may be affected by how many players on each side are injured or return late after International duty.

I look forward to every Grange irrelevant of expected outcome.

Knew we'd get battered by Real Madrid a couple of years ago under Brod but still couldn't wait for the match.

Nothing in particular I fell asleep today so still not sure what happenned but I think it was complacency after going 1 nil up against a poor side.

We're struggling with goals too, only scored more than once in 2 games in the PL.

I'm only not looking forward to this as I think your pressing style will be very effective against our possession game. Also think Mane will end up having a blinder. Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah I know what you mean but you're not Real Madrid are you? ;)

Just got a really bad feeling about this one that's all.

Nice to have a Sat 3pm ko though.

This will be a massive test for us
Personally i put the 0-0 with Utd down to the int break, Couts and Firm were lethargic and team not as fluid. ( was same for Utd i know) but the int breaks feck up momentum.
Secondly the last time we won 6-1 i think we went on a run of poor results (heads prob got too big)
Thirdly Southampton are a very good side, esp at home.
So if we can win this I may start to get a more positive outlook (jinx alert) for future games as we will start to look a bit consistent.

I'd agree. After international break we were deffo just not very set. I also agree last time at 2-0 up at HT we were sellp walking second half and a few of those players like sakho and moreno are not starting are they?

I think you are right. If we win this one suddenly you are looking into a set of fixtures that just about bring us to the half way point of season with the potential to be in the mix.

This have changed IMO. klopp won't accept things not being right and is quite strict. he's demanded more and more as standards have crept up and its work on the training ground thats lead to him expecting more form the players. Those who don't deliver get dropped.

5/6 of the potential 11 starters won't be on international duty..
    Karius not selected.
    Lovern pulled out
Lucas not selected (but Lovern should have recovered in time)
Matip doesn't play for Cameron anymore/in exile
    Milner retired
    Can not picked

Mane is only playing 1 game during the break, against SA on the 12th so will be back Monday at the latest..
The England boys aren't travelling, all our games are in the UK and they'll be back Wednesday.

Only issue, as you say is Coutinho and Firmino, but a private yet will help, get them rested and they should be good to go too!

Very important that those on International Duty come back injury free!

Good info there. I'd be slightly worried on clyne. he seems a wee bit under the weather and didn't walker pull up in spurs game?

    Karius
    x Matip Lovern Milner
    can X X
    Mane X X

seems that henderson and lallana (and wijnaldum) will play all games so Coutinho will too by the look of it (firmino i think won't)

so really its down to where coutinho and firmino are trvelling to and how to get back (Friday i would say)

sturridge and origi will be travelling too so theres not really much relief for us there.

    needs a strong perofrmance yes.

Agreed, Firmino is likely to be a bit part player at best.
Coutinho seems to have got into the starting XI so will most likely play, shame!
Origi will travel but he won't play!
Mings will travel but also unlikely to play!
Wish Walker wasn't injured, if fit, he'd have played and Clyne wouldn't have!
Hopefully Rooney plays and Lallana is on the bench!
    And Kane instead of Studge..
Hendo is likely to play but he's a machine! (no jinx)
Hopefully, given the fact the Gini just came back from injury, the Dutch coach doesn't start him!

Note, don't think the other players are better, I'm just biased and don't want our boys risked!.. have themselves a nice rest :D
