Agree with some of that. There was no point sacking Jimmy for most of these names. But we need to be looking at an urgent return to the PL. We need investment in a better Manager than these bookies favourites and some very good player replacements first thing January. With this the 6 points up to the play offs is doable. I like Ramsey but can't see him doing that, and a start needs making now not January. Clement maybe, Pelegrino perhaps?
Just getting ready to face the onslaught from the chaps at work. Another day, another manager - I reckon we should install a set of these at Loftus Road please log in to view this image
I like the supposed view of Clement that he wanted his team promoted that season. They were 5th, why not!
Sherwood opted for Aston Villa over QPR and was subsequently sacked for being crap. He's now favourite to manage our team. I will be pretty peeved if he gets the job.
Followed that advice and thought about it three times but didnt change my mind NW wasn't popular at the start ... Taarabt at that time started it all on the pitch and the team gelled and confidence and belief grew NW has a great relationship with QPR but also failed when we stepped up as he signed players that destroyed everything very quickly I won't ever forgive him for that He grew a great QPR out of nothing I will never be concerned about Adels other stuff only interesseted on the playing stuff he was the heart of that side ... we were different and he was brilliant in that side . It was when everyone started getting clever pulling that side apart when it when wrong imo A team hits a groove by more than any manager imo most **** it all up imo when they tinker What we have now is just renewed hope every year it seems and we are no different Should sign Solly March imo for however much as he is back and could be our new Dave Thomas QPR will always be about flair imo nothing else matters to me win or lose Where exactly are we now? Football needs flair it's the only recipe for success long term Managers are on the whole today are idiots
Not in a million years are Brighton going to let him go... especially for the peanuts we would be able to offer. Furthermore why would he take the step down to us. When/if he goes it will be in a year or two to a Premier League side. And at some point I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the fringes of the England set up. I think we might have to be a little (a lot) more realistic in our ambitions tbh...
Not strictly true is it? all we know is that Sherwood interviewed for the job, there is no evidencentre he chose villa instead or that he was even offered the qpr job anyway.
Very interesting. I think the board and Les realised really quickly that if Sherwood were to be appointed he'd have a hell of a job just to get the fans on his side before his first match. The whole 'Spurs Old Boys' tag was presumably avoided as well. Looks like Clement, Karl Robinson or Steve Cotterill then
THE LATEST IS THAT THE IDIOT FERDINAND IS NOW LINING UP SHERWOOD WITH RAMSEY AS ASSISTANT WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT IDIOT VILLA BRING STEVE BRUCE WHO GOES ON AN UNBEATEN FIVE MATCHES WIN WE PUT IN THE MAN VILLA SACKED FOR BEING USELESS YOU COULDNT MAKE IT UP
Standard saying the same http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...king-of-jimmy-floyd-hasselbaink-a3388881.html If it's true it's SLF sorting his mates out before the club. It would at least be nice to get someone in the team may respect. Can't see that happening with Sherwood.
Why do we have to be so predictable with the ex Spurs clique, really not surprising I guess:- QPR poised to confirm ex-Premier League manager as new boss please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Date: 7th November 2016 at 12:42pm After former boss Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink was sacked on Saturday evening, after the R’s 1-1 draw with struggling Nottingham Forest, Tim Sherwood is poised to replace him at Loftus Road. Reports last week suggested that Sherwood was already close to becoming the manager of QPR despite Hasselbaink still being manager, but with Hasselbaink now gone, the deal is nearly done. The Evening Standard also understands that former R’s boss Chris Ramsey is going to work closely with Sherwood with the club reportedly upgrading him from his role in charge of the youth team to become Sherwood’s assistant. Sherwood was a success at White Hart Lane with Spurs but that was followed by a disastrous spell at Aston Villa last season. The 47-year-old has never managed in the Championship but his experience of working at the top level may come to good use. QPR fans will hope he can replicate his successes at Spurs instead of his torrid time at Villa. QPR fans… Are you happy with Sherwood as your new manager? Should they have sacked Hasselbaink? Who would you appoint as your new manager? Let us know what you think in the comments below! http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/qpr-poised-to-confirm-ex-premier-league-manager-as-new-boss/
Only success he ever had was with a team that wasn't his. Got found out at Villa but that doesn't matter to his mate.
Please say this is just lazy journalism, based entirely on the report in The Standard this morning, which definately was lazy journalism
