Terminator is the best Arnie film for me. oozes menace and plays it really well. then they had to make him "good". ruined the franchise. total recall was good and predator was ok but the good, smart-arsed quipping Arnie make some **** films
Commando was excellent for storyline and action. Daughter gets kidnapped, he's told he has to go on some mission in order to get his daughter back. Typical 80's action movie would usually expect hero will complete mission, then go after bad guys. Instead he just says **** the mission, I'm coming to get you. Very unexpected at the time. I remember it came out in direct competition to Rambo. And while Rambo got all the hype, Commando was the better film. Some great lines in that film as well. "You going to do what we say if you want to see your little girl again, right?" Arnie "Wrong!" and blows him away. "Hey Sully, you remember I told you I'd kill you last" (holding Sully off the edge of a cliff). Sully "Yeh that's right you did!" Arnie "I lied!" (lets go)
Come on guys. Twins, Kindergarten Cop, Junior and Jingle All the Way are the best Arnie films by miles
Just watched Supersonic, brilliant. Focuses on the 2 albums and really depicts the time and moment well. Will there ever be a time in music like that again? Has the digital age truly killed music?
I am ****ing having to watch x factor AGAIN. Jesus wept. seriously lads this is awful. ..... now i see some arnie discussion. Perhaps this can take my mind of it. Commando was quite a good movie. The only bad thing in it was his bloody accent. My view is his accent was perfect for conan the barbarian. And that was good movie for its genre/time. The accent however ruined many a film for him though.... Tue lies.. that was a really great cast and story for what it was but there he was with the stupid accent. You literally could have put anyone in that film and they would have been good IMO That said, terminator, predator, commado were all good. Total recall was a very good story and rightly remade recnetly enough. I think a lot of the comdey stuff was just taking him and poking fun at him and the accent. Twins i think had sepcifc arnie sounds funny jokes. Last action hero.... that christmas one... kindergarten cop was prob the only guy who'd not be taken as a peado. So yeah all very watchable in fairness but real action? Stallone wins hands down IMO.
