All about opinions, but I really don't see what he does? Gets the odd flick on, but it has to be an accurate ball to his head? Tell me what you see differently. I know he has a good reference from Norwich fans.
...sorry he's not good enough for it to matter. Until he becomes a proper City legend, that's close enough.
Mbokani: worked really hard today. Took the pressure off a lot. Harries the oppos central defenders making them play long balls that are easier to defend against. Like other teams do to us. He was excellent today. Maguire wasn't brilliant but he made his presence felt and forced their midfield players to curb some penetrating runs. Clucus worked very hard as usual and provided some good attacking flow. He's no left back but he's a very talented player who had the best work ethic at the club. Livermore worked hard closing players down and took the pressure out of their attacks regularly. None of the four were MOTM but they all played better than a 4.
Mbokani - busy(ish) but dreadful control. He is a handful, but took surprisingly few headers Clucas - agree he was very good. Got skinned a couple of times in tricky spots, but given the position he has to play was good, and creative when forward Maguire - hmm. All about opinions I suppose. He's too slow, particularly when trying to move the supertanker to port or starboard. Gave the ball away in horrendous positions and I didn't see many positives. Livermore - not his best today, gave the ball away again, but he can be much better
I like him, but not sure he was excellent today I'm equally not sure why Maguire has become a cult hero like MagShane
Mbok certainly wasnt excellent. Agreed. Macguire is positive. He goes forward. Fans se that and like it. Jake take note. Cos thats whats lacking in your game. As for Tommy H. FFS Tom youre the most talented centre midfield player I've ever seen at Hull City but FFS. Why dont you do summat with that talent. That so called shot!!!! WTF was that. A weak punt up in the air!!! Hit the **** put your laces through it. A wasted talent.
Was 'Arry injured or did he get the shepherd's hook?..Tom Huddleston's first pass went straight to a bloke in red which nearly resulted in a goal.. Mbokani put in a shift as did the rest of the lads, can't fault the effort, but Gawd we're brittle in midfield..Mason and Henrickson are too lightweight to compete and Jake's legs have gone...
Have to agree about Hudd, such a talent but just doesn't do enough with it. Still one of my favourite goals is his against Blunts at Wembley, why he doesn't do this more often God only knows.
Not sure about that, but if he is a little slower I think it's to do with his huge build these days, which can prove to be useful when opposition players sometimes bounce off him. I reckon Elmo's lost a yard though, either that or he's scared to take his man on every time. Snodgrass was visibly telling him to get forward more in the second half to help out and all he did was float in one or two harmless crosses for Van Dijk to gobble up.
Jake's never been blessed with lightening pace, but he was very pedestrian today...The forty yard back pass when there was no one around him suggests to me he's low on confidence or the team aren't talking. He had acres of space to turn and go forward so maybe he didn't get a 'time' shout. A win is very welcome, we're only 2 points behind Lester, but we need an injection from somewhere.
