I accept that there is a shortage of managerial talent around at present but the situation couldn't be left to deteriorate any further. In my opinion TF was left with no choice but to show JFH the door before we end up in the bottom three.
As stared above, I also really don't know who would be a good manager for us. I really hoped that it would be JFH. But we all know how that ended. I really think that we are destined to get Sherwood and am not inspired.
I don't think he'd fit in with the current TF ideals of bring niceties......... we might as well bring in a strict German who doesn't speak any English then, as I was saying! http://www.transfermarkt.com/trainer/verfuegbaretrainer/statistik?sort=datum_hidden.desc
I really hope it's not a manager from the UK. We need a smart, tough, foreign, attack-minded manager who is a master man-manager. There are so many managers around the world who would love to come to England and take a chance at building their careers. I hope that we are not narrow-minded and are looking at some of them.
I I would be surprised if TF didn't already have a replacement lined up before booting JFH out, that would be the usual way of conducting business.
Seems way beyond us at the moment... and so we lurch to another crisis. Instability, players not wanting to come to us, because of manager turnover. Experienced managers, probably wont come because our turnover and DoF structure; Inexperienced managers wont be given time due to impatience to deliver, as they will have an excuse, "its not my team", and no funds to buy new players in January. Unless we strike it lucky, which is not our way.
So do I. A decent attack minded manager who likes to play the ball on the floor, unlike a holloway who would give me neck ache again.
I think (or hope) that the decision to sack JFH was taken after the Brentford debacle and the replacement has been sorted out already. The club will announce on the morrow ... Paul Clement.
Paddy Power (Ian Holloway - odds locked?) Certainly ominous the odds on Sherwood to join his former Spurs mates Ferdinand & Ramsey. At least Paul Clement is there in the mix - he proved himself at Derby in this league, so no reason why he couldn't do the same for us, but he's a £2 million/year man, peanuts really if you take into consideration all the money Tony has pissed away on dross.
