As one of my mates once said, and I quote: "The bloke who invented decorating wants ****ing. And the bloke who invented ****ing wants decorating."
The last time I was at a City v Southampton match in Hull was 50 years ago. Was a January FA Cup victory in a most memorable promotion year. Today I will go for the tried and trusted score draw.
The one and only time I've been to Southampton Was when I joined a cruise ship called the oriana, the original one, I was a silver service waiter on it. Sailed around Canada and the states, late 70s. I would of been to Southampton more times but as I was sacked in America, New York to be precise, Two weeks before it when back to Southampton. I've never returned..... 3 weeks later the ship went To Australia for 3 months, biggest regret of my life. Well that and falling into a pig pen pissed out of my skull But that's another story....and it wasn't in Southampton..... City of culture 1, the saints, a big fat zero.....
First time I went to Southampton the coach left Ferensway at 11pm on the Friday night - we arrived with the milkman about 6 in the morning - went to Winchester for a laugh and rang the bells in the Cathedral - got into lots of bother hither and thither - match was 3 3 think Chanon and Osgood scored ard John Hawley got sent off
the empty seats in the ground are so embarrassingly noticeable on the tele, if they had any shame, those thundercunts should be thoroughly ashamed of the mess they've made of this club. Shame they have none
