What a performance from the big man! It didn't look to me like they were operating a traditional 442; Anichebe was coming very deep at times which just demonstrates how good his all round game was. He did brilliantly for his goal and in winning the pen. I hope he feels he can motivate himself for us- maybe we've found a gem...
Put this down to the Nissan Principle - success breeds success. We seemed to carry a bit of luck but what a result - I got my ticket for the Hull game on Friday - onwards -- KTF
Lol - I agree to some extent and as Short is getting a lot of unfair criticism after finacially backing the club I think his tenure is comming to an end- onwards and KTF
We can but dream mate! I can't quite get over how good anichebe was, didn't see that coming at all. What a bonus if he keeps putting in shifts like that, battering defenders.
You know what I liked for the pen? He desperately tried to stay on feet, and after being fouled he still tried to score before he appealed. I love that in a player.
That bodes very well imo. The lad has always been a powerhouse, with his fair share of talent, but never the attitude to put it to proper use - which he acknowledged himself when he first signed, and said he was gonna knuckle down for us. At the time I thought "yeah, yeah..." but it looks like he could really mean it. Maybe those few weeks in limbo with nobody interested has made him sit up and take notice. If he shows the same sort of attitude and desire he did yesterday we have a decent player on our hands imo.
