Seems we have not missed a pen in 5 years. So fav pen. Best pen taker in those 5 years. Best ever. Safc pen taker. Best ever pen taker. Non safc. Borini.
I feared the commentator might have jinxed us with those remarks about the streak as Defoe placed the ball on the spot.
Favorite was Borini at the Nags place although his one at Chelsea a couple of years ago was as cool as they come Borini as best penalty taker last 5 years Gary Rowell as best ever for Sunderland. Would say Matt LeTissier outside of SAFC
How many is the streak? 5 years. But how many pens. I have no idea. I seem to recall Larsson was the last to miss. Maybe wrong mind.
Rowell definitely the best penalty taker I have seen at Sunderland Non SAFC....I would say Dennis Irwin at Man Utd
I thought he said 23, but I think it's more like 20-21. You are right about Larsson: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...erland-reign-supreme-premier-leagues-11209300 EPL PK Stats: http://www.myfootballfacts.com/Premier_League_Penalty_Statistics.html
Borini against the mags best ever. Gardner took a mean penna. Shearers against us thru there is also one of my faves.
Borini, vs Chelsea was a crucial one and he was cool as a cucumber. Just pips taking the puss out of the Mags
Sure i read JD has 149 prem goals. 1 more takes him top 10. Also highest scoring englishman 2016. We swapped Altidore for him. Bloke is a legend.
Apparently 25 goals in 56 games for Sunderland. In a very poor team constantly battling relegation that is a superb return.
25 goals in 56 games for a ****e team. And he bucks jawdee slappers. The man is a machine. Legend. We'd be ****ed without him
I think it was Lineker who said that JD is second only to Aguero this year for goals scored. I loved SKP and for me is the greatest signing of my generation but I'm just wondering what it would take JD to do to replace SKP? Back to the OP though and Borini's penalty against the skunks might have given me a semi at the time!
