We were talking about players we rated, their individual performances.
And what has it done for Everton? Probably earnt them half a dozen league places....
so if the rest of the team is ****, strikers should just give up and be **** aswell, since scoring more goals wont win the team anything?
Is that what you are saying?
Cannot even begin to get my head round this way of thinking.
Seems utterly pointless and a contrived way of making Liverpool, in your head, top of every "relevant" statistic.

Lukaku's goals have earned Everton relatively few points, and they've gone backwards season on season since he became their [HASHTAG]#recordsigning[/HASHTAG]

Hazard and Fabregas won that PL, any donkey up top would have worked <ok>
<laugh>
Tell that to Arsenal. They have had a donkey up front surrounded by world class midfielders for years

Costa scored 20 goals in 26 games, and got a few assists too.
That's crap because of some contrived Astro stat you have made up? <laugh>

Just saying, form is a peculiar thing.
On paper, Uniteds squad looks decent, yet they are playing like ****.
On paper, your squad is pretty gash imo, yet you will probably top the league come tomorrow.
If there is anything SAF's United squads and Leicester last year taught us, is that the whole can be much greater than the sum of its parts if managed right.

Similar to Chelsea really. Other than Hazard, Costa, Kante & Azpi, you're squad looks pretty meh as well to be fair.

And last season?

Ahh right, so when Costa won Chelsea the league (made to look good by Hazard and Fabregas) they were just padding his stats.
Got it now <ok>

Yep, a team playing with one striker will always have more goals concentrated in him compared a team playing with no striker or more than one striker <ok>

Moses (playing every bit as well as Mane at the moment and much stronger defensively), Willian (absolutely superb player), Matic (back to his commanding best), Courtois (3rd or 4th best keeper in the league). That leaves Oscar and Fabregas on the bench, not bad as back up.

Sorry if this has been replied to.(haven't read anything beyond as I scroll) you're right...

You lot went from great to gash to great
. .why? proper manager..mix of defence and attack....today you looked as irresistible as us going forward but not as susceptible at the back...even with side show...some of his passes from the back today were class.

All four teams have looked awesome and fragile so far...you lot are on the run at the mo . ..bias or not I think we will match you in wins and only lose out on our defence. If we don't score more than concede (stating the obvious but possible) ..

Anyway
. .top managers doing top things
..well with one exception.....

What does the amount of goals scored have to do with the points a player earns for his team?
You have already proved it means little so I will ask again, which player has earned Liverpool the most points this season so far :emoticon-0100-smile

Wouldn't take Moses over any of our players. Willian last year was superb, but was that because he was the only one trying to stood out in a poor side? Good squad player for sure. Matic is good, but limited mobility wise isn't suited to playing in 3 man midfield that we play. Courtois very good, although has dipped this year.

Oscar is a nothing player. Scores a good goal once in 5 and plays a clever pass but is less consistent than Coutinho of 2 years ago!

The talk of Chelsea's form is interesting, particularly this euphemism "since the formation change" which means "since we last played a rival for top four and got humiliated"
