So you won't be needing your heating allowance! Should Southerners even get one, living in the balmy climes?
I think you're right. We're the bit that's living in the 21st Century, rather than clinging to some deluded vision of a fading empire. The bit where immigration is seen as a positive, and Europe is not a threat it's a continent of possibilities right on our doorstep.
Need to win today before the international break...and be sniffing at Everton's heels. Don't know how they got ahead of us, but they won't be at the season's end now the team and Puel are on the same hymn sheet. * *Awful sentence, but it's early.
http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/mike...ure-is-right/story-29869241-detail/story.html Phelan spoke yesterday of the desire to emulate Southampton's system. It worked for us because we not only had the plan (ok, Nicola and Les had), but we had hit rock bottom. We were a massive club for League 1....even starting on -10, we were unlikely to go down)....so with good money available, we could build a promotion-seeking squad. When you are in a failing side in the EPL, the temptation is to apply sticking plaster rather than have a complete overhaul.....the money at risk is too massive.
Another match day - struggling to keep up! The last one kicked off at 12.05am (thankfully the start of the weekend - but meant going to bed at 2.30am - Friday was slow!!) but at least this one is at 18.15 hrs. If we can just find that clinical touch - it could be a relaxing game to watch - but I know better being a Saints fan... we will edge it by one goal to nil.
