We let them into it there a bit too much. The midfield didn't press enough for me when we didn't have the ball and they could pass it around too freely. We still easily the better team in my opinion though and I think 2-1 was a fair scoreline. Cardiff will probably think they could have had something from the game which is true, but then we had other chances to score ourselves.
It's true, Ritchie would have created more. I thought Atsu and Yedlin should have done better in terms of working the right side and getting more crosses in. Mitro ended up coming too deep at times to try and get involved when you want him front and centre to put the crosses away. The crosses were too few and far between unfortunately.
As long as they don't get complacent because we are by far the strongest team in the league. Any more complacency today and we probably would have dropped points.
Not for automatic promotion mate which is the name of the game this season. Failure is not an option and 8 points ahead at this stage is better than I had expected.
It varies massively in this league. Last year third bottom got 40 points. Four years ago Peterborough were relegated with 54 points.
I think we'll win every remaining game and probably sign the best Spanish players in the world over the next 2 years
What is the target for auto-promo though? I did look at this a while back but have forgotten. Some years it wasn't that big a target I seem to remember.
Lowest in the last 12 years was 79 points. The highest was 91 when WBA were runners up to us last time. I think 90 should be the target for us for automatic promotion, so were well on course at the minute.

I thought we did just enough for what was needed, but they did have a few shots in the second half that went wide. So both sides missed a couple of chances each, which could have caused us to draw. We didn't have a stand out player today, but still won, though from where I was, level 6 Leazes, they appeared to have one shot on target and scored from it. 6 or 7/10 performance for me.
