Actually, the Duke was signed as a left wing attacker. Strange, but true! Signed to play on the left of a 4-3-3.

 

If he's not injured, I'm prepared to offer my time & dubious skills to make it so.

 

Surprised at The Dukes inclusion from the start. He must be absolutely flying in training or there are worries about Sacko being overplayed.

Mowatt hopefully is not injured. He needs to drop out of the match day squad for a while and then work hard to back in. Get leaner and fitter if he wants to earn a new contract next summer.

Strange really as i have seen him make runs and score on the right.wonder where he likes to play.chance for roofe to stake a claim to left side today.

It will be 4-5-1 with Roofe and Duke trying to sprint through the centre when the attack is down the opposite flank.

They seem to have been working on this recently and with Wood's extra movement of late it could be a good tactic.

We'll see something about monk as a manager today. To me, as a simple fan, this looks like a side with too many attacking players who may have the work ethic but not the acumen to do a defensive/positional job.

So I'm going to say I can see us getting over-run in midfield.

I hope we don't and monk emphasises why he is a rated manager and I am a keyboard warrior.

I can see him playing in Sacko's position in a 4-2-3-1, but I cannot understand why he would get picked over Sacko. Unless Sacko is not 100% fit, carrying a knock or whatever. Could be tactical, but I'd have pace any day, no matter the tactics employed.

The Duke does bring more a goal threat though as Sacko is woeful at finishing.

Wood, Duke, Roofe (eventually) and Hernandez means we have more goalscorers in the team.

 

You may be right but I don't think so about getting overrun that is,Duke has had a massive work effort in bits I've seen,not saying we will win though,but we live in hope at.
