Eddie Howe’s Cherries currently sit one place above defending champions Leicester City and will eye the Black Cats as a wounded animal. Without a win in two, Howe will be desperate to get back to winning ways in what he will be considering a must win home game. Sunderland have it all to do. Without a win under David Moyes in the league, the Sunderland faithful know all too well how big this game is. Intense speculation surrounds Moyes future with, according to reports, the sack looming large should he suffer yet another defeat. There's a match tomorrow? I have a feeling that if we're going to win any match it'll be this one but if I was betting on it I'd say 3-1 Bournemouth. They'll know we're there for the taking and we can neither defend well enough to keep them out or outscore them. For some reason I think Moyes being in the stands will give us a bit extra but it's polishing a turd frankly.
Think we'll be humped personally. Our tactics are not to press so Bournemouth will pass us to death and will pull us apart. Would take a draw if offered now.
If we spend another match not pressing our opponents then I'm going to be face palming so hard I'll have Steve Bruce nose by the end of the game. Seriously, if you don't have quality then at least put the effort in.
It's the tactics IMO. When Sam first came in, although we still weren't picking up many points you could see his plan was to press the opposition high with Catts enforcing the 'press'. The way many teams play now the best way to combat their game is go press high and instead of doing that we sit back and watch till the pick us apart. Tomorrow is a perfect opportunity to press high and put them under pressure.
Not going to bother staying up for this one. Can't be ****ed watching that shower of ****e at the moment.
Lucky you have the out of going to sleep at a reasonable time. If it only it kicked off in the middle of the nigh here I could abandon it too. But I'll be awake and I'll watch it.
I think you're right- I think that's what they've been told to do but I can't understand what benefit this approach has.
Think we'll get hammered though in Lanzarote at the moment and 2 black cats crossed my path yesterday, and I had a vivid dream that we won 2-0 with me being in a state of shock. So who knows? Hoping my dream comes true and the 2 black cats were an omen!! Bart
