Cellino has been quiet far too long, abnormally quiet for him, so I think it is more than rumours in my humble opinion.
we need investment on the scale of Citeh and Chelski, where it really makes a massive difference ... the setup at Man City is frightening now, even their Reserve team ground puts most lower division grounds to shame ... their owner has put a magnificent infrastructure in place, and also invested heavily in the women's team to help develop their fan base for the future we don't need a part owner to come in spending the odd £3m every season on a so-called "marquee" signing ... nothing but at least £50m pumped into the squad will help to compete with the parachute clubs, because in a few seasons we will be seeing eight clubs in the Championship still benfiting from parachute money, and then the Prem will really start to become out of reach Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I've been saying similar for a long time. To hell with the rubbish that the club loses its soul and won't be same again. There's no other way of getting back to the top four
I would love to see us go up, but I hate how football is now and the money that is involved. Lets just enjoy the way the side are playing at the moment.
We all hate the way football has gone but that's the way it is, it's not going to change. If we want to be a top side again it'll take someone's fortune. But also enjoying the ride at the moment
I agree, what's the point of going up just to settle for being there every season so the owner and shareholders get their dividends each year. If / when we're promoted let's at least have the ambition of wanting to be one of the country's top clubs otherwise we might as well just enjoy the excitement of the chase where we are.
I know it won't change, but even if I don't see us back where we belong in my lifetime, I don't want to lose the identity of the club, and sell to some rich arab that just wants to use us as his play thing.even if it means not getting to the Premiershit. I know the younger generation of Leeds Utd fans think the Prem is the holy grail, but I would rather play Div 2 football than sell out change our shirt colour, rename the stadium.etc etc etc
great point Shaks ... however, Leeds is a unique club in that it knows it's identity, and that will never be lost ... one of the key things to getting promotion has always been the manager, and finally we have a superb one in Monk who clearly knows what he's doing ... that said, if we don't get up by end of next season then it's going to become all about big money to help us get up Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
