So...if I got that straight (not one of Puel's clearest speeches)...he thinks Virgil is playing at about 70% of what he could become and Virgil had a bit of trouble adapting to the new style (where he had to keep a large space behind him....I think that's what he meant) and he needed to concentrate more.
At least that was relatively short. I like Puel and am happy for him to manage Saints, but I have accepted that I will rarely want to listen to his press conferences. I can only imagine what the journalists think....no easy material for them here.
Claude has probably never considered that he could get 'Media Training', in order to give journos some sound bites to report on. Or maybe someone once mentioned the idea of Media Training to Puel, and was then trapped in the same room as him for six hours while Claude expounded his reasons as to why he didn't need it
Crikey! Strewth! What does the man want. Virgil is already a force of natural. If he gets any more dynamic someone is going to get seriously damaged. If he wears a Superman outfit he will not be allowed on the pitch.
I am sure someone who knows how to do these things could do a mock up of Virgil in his superman outfit.
The strange thing about the French is that they um and arr in their own language as much as they do in English. P.s. I think he was talking about DIY....definitely mentioned veneer.
I know all games are important, but it would be excellent to go into the international break with 2 wins on the bounce, especially with Liverpool and Everton coming up. League close as you would expect, but we may need a win just to stay where we are.
