I've got him on chelts watch (star man at our preview night...all in aid of Jack Berry House all northern brethren welcome) hes over there full time now as dad is winding Stay Frosty
Good luck with squire tomorrow stick/Don. ..if Don is still way stick you'll have to pick up the winners prize and photo opportunity on your own mate
Dont worry lads, im sure beefy has a 9/4 shot for us, some plodder round some gaff is what I fully expect, its probably a really nice horse in an amazing race that will have massive impact at snoreham
I am sure you will all have better things to do than tune in to Chelmsford races tonight but in case any of you want the full sp on our boys chances tonight here goes. Luke Morris is injured so cannot ride, Rab Havlin has to ride at Doncaster for his gaffer so cannot ride. Therefore Adam Beschizza is the lucky man in the saddle. We all know Squire can be "complicated" so they may not get along fully but so long as the jockey gets clear instructions we should be ok. We are drawn nine which is about as bad as it gets here. In fact I dont think we have had a favourable draw all year. It is also a new track and surface for our lad so it is hard to know if it will suit him. On the plus side he is as well as he can be. Her ran a good race at Kempton where we feel we bumped into one. The handicapper has seen fit to drop us a pound for that one, thank you very much. He runs here tonight and will probably then have one more run before we put him away. He wasnt right at Newmarket but apart from that he has been pretty consistent this season despite having had a year full of niggles. He has come right now and that is why he is still running as we attempt to put some prize money in the training fee kitty. I think the 14/1 quotes from the bookies are a tad disrespectful but that said more than half the field are likely improving three year olds. Good luck if you play. I have backed him each way. Michael takes another one that runs in the maiden and that one would have a very big chance of winning. Hopefully it will be a double.
RELY ON ME 8/1 Doncaster 12.10 Great name for a racehorse! 100,000 gns yearling and ran much better than the form figures suggest on debut. Will be a lot more clued up today and can start the day off on a high. I see the chubby one sends one over to the Emerald Isle for the novice (as well as Conti in the main event) and its worth noting that his record in the race over the past 8 seasons is 11111121. I took 100/30 last night when it was drifting but the money is coming for it now allright. LE MERCUREY.
Paul Nicholls day for my book today. He could rack up a hatful around the meetings. Caid Du Berlais, in the Pertemps looks a very good bet. He ran well to a point at Chepstow but he didn't look ready for that race, and he should be match fit now. He stays this trip and this is the typical early season Pertemps where most are chasers protecting handicap marks or horses looking to squeeze into the final. Also done a rare l15 - Caid Du Berlais Southfield Theatre Frodon Arpege Dalene
Put up a 4/1 yesterday mate that won on the snaff, one bet. Just seen your time of posting, I'll assume u were well out of it at this time hence your unprovoked mud slinging
15:30 Kelso - Pulpitarian (Returning after long absence, but could run well in this event if fully tuned-up? Trainer, Lucinda Russell, had 3 winners and a 4th at Hexham yesterday, so stable could be starting to show a bit of form? 7/1 atm, but SP could well be better) Best of luck with Squire today!
Good luck Stick/Don, couple of unknowns but then that could be a good thing. I'll be watching and having a flutter.
