IMO, injury news aside, pre match press conferences are pointless. Every week the answer is the same for every manager. "What do you think of your opposition" - "they are a good team and we will need to be at our best to beat them". Every week.
But what else would sports journalists do on a Friday afternoon. They would just stay in the office and make up stuff to fill the back pages. As if!
Just chucking them a bone. Its quite clever really. When you watch Mourinho and how he lets them under his skin.
Lawro 1-1 (but only because he always predicts Hull to lose and hasn't got a clue) The super computer 0-1 (does it ever predict more than 1 goal?) Me - a modest 0-2 (because I don't want to wear out our lovely peeps)
Merson says 2-0 Saints but his son says 1-1. I am also going 2-0 Saints with Tadic to score to make up for his penalty miss.
confident we will be to good for this lot, especially as snodgrass is out, and he's their danger man imo.
After liking your post I thought wow that's 40% of your posts get a like! you're a very likable person! So I had a flick through our other likable members - who was the only other with more than 40%? (granted a short search) ONIONMAN (VIC) 68%! it's a funny old world! (other members may actually be more likable, clever, sarcastic, knowledgeable or witty)
Clasie and Davis back in the engine room, Fonte and Bertrand in defense and Austin to start up top. Expect Boufal to start, but not sure if that will be for Tadic or Redmond. Nathan worked his socks off last night, but seems fit enough to cope.
Ok, So I got it right at the pub yesterday. I said 1-0 down and 2-1 win. Confucius today says 2-0 saints. I'll even go as far as saying Charlie for one and the substitute JWP for the other. Both open play, both 2nd half. If I am right again I would start betting on my predictions
Wow, still recovering from Thursday night... I think we should be able to win this but think it could be close after our exertions in the week. Perhaps another VvD goal and more importantly three points !
Really confident about this one. Hull are a poor side who I expect to finish bottom this season and they're also missing (imo) their best player. I expect 5/6 changes from last night with usual suspects starting. Maybe also Boufal getting first PL start? Kinda important to win this one too as we have some tough games coming up after the international break. 2-0 away win
Forster, Martina, Fonte, Van Dijk, Bertrand, Romeu, Clasie, Davis, Redmond, Boufal, Austin. 3-1 Saints.
The reason is that most of you haven't met me. People who meet me tend not to like me. The anonymity of the internet is my friend. I can also become unreasonably aggressive over small mistakes which stops people liking me. It's Vin, not Vic, you miserably inattentive ****er. Vin
