Anti-Ashley Chants

Massively looking forward to the Arsenal game Saturday but am i the only one who can't be arsed with these ant-Ashley chants? I find them embarrasing really. I would much rather put the effort and voice into getting behind the 11 players who happen to be out there playing fot the club. The chants arent going to make him whack more millions at us and aren't going to make him p*** off, it just gives the press something negative to write about.

 

Id prefer the old "we dont care about Ashley" song, that was the best

 

Completely agree. It's counter productive and just adds to the negative tone thats already hanging around SJP these days

Agree. He doesnt hear them and go "You know what, I should sell up", he thinks "why the **** should I put my money in this club if this is all I get?"

 

The whole idea of going to the games is to get behind the team, that's what we should stick to.

 

i dont agree with the anti ashley chants as they serve no purpose and it is not supporting the team!! but i think the above chant probably best sums up the feelings towrds him.

I'm not ashley's biggest fan, but i'm not that much against him either!! i honestly think in the long run he is the best person for us!!!

I agree there is no point and it creates a negative feeling around the club. Besides we are still getting a few presents before the month is out (I HOPE) so lets not piss off Santa.

It really can't do any good. To be honest it doesn't really bother me, people can do as they please. Their voices would be more helpful used supporting players and manager who are caught in the middle.

I don't know how true this is but I have no reason to not trust the lad. A mate who works in football for the FA and spends fair bit of time at St James said Llambiarse was showing some Arab gentleman around the club and training facilities recently. He says its common knowledge that he is trying to sell the club, and the current cost cutting exercise is just part of that. He also said Pardew is not a fan of Jonas and he won't have a long term future under him. As I say obviously taken with a pinch of salt but he is not usually one to spout crap.

Either way patience regarding the ownership is best if you ask me because he has skin like a rhino and appears, like most rich businessmen, to be quite petty. I can't see how the chants will achieve anything but a backlash. People just need to accept we are stuck with him until decides otherwise.

 

I heard something like this, but his form towards the end of the season saved him from being sold.

 

What pisses me off about those chants is that the same people sing Get Out Of Our Club followed by We Don't Care About Ashley...work that one out.

 

I agree completely with what youre saying particularly about Ashley being petty and thick skinned. It's why the 'cockney mafia' 'fat man' and 'puppet' sloganeering annoys me so much, not because I don't understand people's hatred but because the inaccuracy gives our detractors ammunition. It's all well and good protesting but cockney's out banners etc negate it all as people simply point out that nobody in the clubs hierarchy is from London. As for the puppet thing, especially when people talk about the gambling debt that lead to Pardew getting the job - a story which is completely untrue btw - its empty rhetoric and makes us look like we have no reasoned arguments against the Ashley regime.

As for your insider info, I have someone who is soon to get very much on the inside, working with all the premier league clubs, I'll see what i can uncover.

 

Paying your money and complaining is daft if you go back and keep doing it. If your food is crap and you complain you don't go back do you. Either go eat your meal and shut the **** up or don't go.

 

I really don't think that eating a meal is a good analogy for supporting Newcastle United, or not, as the case may be.

I agree about the anti ashley songs creating a negative atmosphere totally, but how are people going to voice their dislike/hatred towards a bloke who's having a massive negative effect on our club? People won't stop going. That's the only thing that may make him leave, and that's never going to happen. We're his plaything for as long as he likes. The twastard.

 

The chants wont make him leave though, he'll just resent us more and be even less likely to fund transfers.
