I can manage to press a light switch without the need for computer interaction.

A gimmick that would just get on my tits.

You'll have to let me know what you think Luv. I like the idea of telling a machine to order me pizza and turn the heating up.

I think it's an interesting concept but will probably go the way of the Palm Pilot or the iPad. Cool tech that people like as a novelty but kinda dies down after a few years.

The media seen to think it's the start of something other than a fad. I have smart lights and plugs and will have the heating within the next year. The Spotify link up is a big plus for me, I'd get it for that alone.

Don't think I'd have taken a chance on the £150 but £50 I can live with if it's a disappointment. If it's good and gets better then money well spent.

Ok it arrived. I set up the app on my phone ready for its arrival. Both app and device easy to set up.

Best way to describe it is. You buy the latest phone and think it's the nutz, after a while you realise it's only as good as the apps you use despite its appearance.

It does what I expected, I can ask questions and it answers, there are silly jokes, I can access news and sport, I can play music, I can turn my lights on and off.

It feels very futuristic and I love it and would recommend if you like technology.

The support apps need to improve, the basics are there but like everyone I now want more, good thing is it can improve all the time as developers add more apps.

A fad? Nope, it's brilliant and will get better. Would I pay £150? No chance, would I pay £50 hell yes, it's a bargin for that price.

I'm not so sure. Personally, I've had an iPad for over 4 years. This is my second one, but I love it....
