I'll vouch for that. You did too, followed by saying you'd buy us all a drink next time if that was the outcome....

Koeman ran down the toucline when we beat Liverpool, but that was only because the lying twat was thinking, "when I take that 6 million the blue noses will love that I did this to Liverpool"

Oh I should add when I say naturally buzzing the drink has probably played a part but normally makes me tired not full of adrenaline! Only Saints eh? :)

On a game related note, I usually dislike 'club aids' (for want of better phrase) for atmosphere but I thought the flags waving all around the ground pre match looked fantastic and really contributed to getting everyone pumped.

    Well done Saints (again!!) <ok>

I'd actually only had a couple but that combined with adrenaline made me more excited than a kid at xmas <laugh>

I'm strange with alcohol too... as I used to have a drink problem at 17 or so - so sometimes I can drink 6/7 and feel fine and others I drink 2/3 and feel merry as **** :)

You should have seen me in Milan after my litre of beer :bandit:

I never get so pissed that I can't remember/enjoy the game though... I can get drunk anytime... Saints memories last a lifetime <ok>

Cheers, Black. I will. I think Pierre has also set his standard high and wasn't quite as good as he has been, but it's an opinion on a night which seemed to fly by. I'll be happy to sit back and watch the whole game again in relaxed mode!!

Great game last night, lots of intensity.

Motm has to go to Virgil. Special mention goes to Pierre, was getting **** from our fans come the second hand, but his ball retention was brilliant.

I think we should put things into perspective. Last night a second-string Saints team beat an Italian team that was probably no better than West Brom. The real story is how well fringe players played last night. You expect a solid performance from VvD (easily our best player) but Inter were unable to punish inconsistent players like Martina and Yoshida whereas the likes of Hojbjerg and JWP stepped up to the plate. Other than his atrocious shooting, this was one of JWP's best performances. I would have to single out Sam McQueen who is starting to look extremely promising.

Sorry I missed you all in the pub. Id been in there from about 1630, and my boy was getting so bored he had done his 2, 3 & 4 times table in the time.

He fleeced me for an away shirt in West Quay and some snacks for the game..,

Now I know where the pub is, its only a 5 min walk from where I park, so will be there for sure...

I think it was fascinating to see the difference in quality between Inter and Chelsea. It does make you wonder just how good Italian football is and wonder how well their teams might fair in the Premier League. It was clear that Inter did not like it when Saints played with pace.

    Not sure if that's tongue-in-cheek.

Virgil was booked for it earlier in the season. And yes, it's shameful, cynical behaviour.

Just looked at Virgil's goal in the gallery....did he kick the ball or did he kick the Inter player's leg onto the ball (which would have been a foul)? I noted yesterday that he checked with the ref before celebrating.*

*Don't really care as we don't always get what we deserve...last night was the night. :)

Sort of agree to an extent Ian, but Maya isn't inconsistent, he's usually good, and last night he was excellent.
