As for running away, it's interesting how often these diversions crop up when it's not following the party line. It's often followed by general chatter spattered with unsupportable claims to shove the awkward posts down the thread and attempts to make the ad hominems look less ridiculous.

The habit of trying to rewrite points and to build strawmen has been pointed out before.
