Although his moody lack of workrate, not to mention age is the last thing we need its a yes from me. Beggers cant be choosers. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...-dimitar-berbatov-to-bolster-attack-1-8216231
Can't be worse than anichebe. Worth a punt in the short term... Provided he's anything like his old self.
Hell no!, Exact opposite to what we need. We need fabio back is what we need. 110% effort, heart on his sleeve, passionate, loyal. We need a Fabio in every position.
Don't get me wrong though, had we been in a better position i'd have had him. He's just not a man to make himself stand up and be counted.
We need someone up front who can hold the ball up and take pressure off everywhere else. Yes from me.
Three players I'd be going for if I was Moyes, in January. £12m James McCarthy £Loan Mamadou Sakho - Liverpool £2m Peter Crouch
I watched one of your games a year or two back and Berbatov was playing, his usual game as far as I could see, but at the end his stats were above Rooney for movement and touches, even though Rooney looked to be the most active of the two, he certainly can play when he wants too, but I would only take him on a game by game basis, we cant afford any more passengers.
Cannot see Peter Crouch coming up here, if my memory serves me right he came up a few year ago and turned us down, seemingly Abbey didn't fancy.
I'd love to see berbatov in the squad just to provide something else coming off of the bench to add a different dimention to the attack. At least it might add a bit of flair and entertainment to our play on our way to the championship.
Already got 2 domestic loans in (Januzaj and Denayer) which is the maximum allowed (I think). Depending on the loans they may not be able to just cancel them and get in others (like Sakho). The main issue is being in touch with other teams. If you're a virtual certainty to go down then you can only really attract people willing to risk Championship football, we were borderline last January and had to pay over the odds for the players we got and give a release clause to one of them. January just isn't a good window and if you have to rely on it you have a major problem. Some of this was very avoidable.
