    He has a face you'd never get tired of punching. Not that I would ever get advocate violence - even in a case like his :bandit:

    I think there might be another way. Free movement of workers is a real issue for many EU countries and so a change in this might be agreed by all as a way of placating nationalists across the whole union. Something like the Swiss are trying for in ensuring jobs are advertised within the country before being made available to foreign nationals.

    If this was to take place then the argument to leave weakens and by us triggering a change in the EU we effectively negate the key argument for leaving amongst the public.

    There will be a small group of far right ****s who will go loopy over this. The majority of them are too lazy to switch off Jeremy Kyle and go out and protest.

    It'll become a self fulfilling prophesy if he and others like him start virtually encouraging it.

    This ^

    Which is why I've said from the off that we should have volleyed it until after the French and German GE's, in which the entire issue will figure heavily. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that the EU will alter the terms of what constitutes 'free movement'

    That'd be the ideal result in terms of placating the immigration concerns that were such a prime factor for some.

    Whilst not detonating the economy in giving them their pound of flesh.

    It'll do the overall leave support no favours if a load of skins and bigots take to the streets demanding that we pull up the draw bridge or they'll kick off.

    Even the Daily Mail grannies might flinch at that.

    Check out the huge bold print analysis of the 3 judges who delivered the verdict towards the bottom of that piece <laugh>

    The judges who blocked Brexit: One founded a EUROPEAN law group, another charged the taxpayer millions for advice and the third is an openly gay ex-Olympic fencer

    Pete could have written that <rofl>

    Steven;

    I posted this some while ago, as I thought it was an interesting proposal. A well thought out compromise on the way forward for the EU.

    It certainly makes economic sense. Whether it would gain political approval is another matter.

    An openly gay man in a position of power? Preposterous.
