Amazing how some are celebrating the expensive delay and continued uncertainty, whilst proclaiming that ultimately it won't actually prevent brexit.

    Sounds like a Pyrrhic victory.

The hard Brexit called for by a minority of morons would have been about as good an example of a Pyrrhic victory as possible.

More Tories MPs (Labour are still in free fall) so more to vote out or even to offer them sweeteners.
    Interesting times ahead

If there's a general election then a lot of voters will vote UKIP if other candidates are not Leavers.

A good chunk of Tories have said they will go with the will of the people.

You're missing the point of this ruling.

What this means is that the entire process will now be debated in the House. The Govt will have to share their plan for what Brexit actually looks like. The key issue of single market access and their intentions regarding it, will be debated and the House will vote on the outcome.

However, whatever the Commons decide it'll have to get past the Lords, and a hard brexit plan simply won't.

The far right have been snookered by this ruling.

Hard Brexit will not happen, we all know a softer exit will be done, its just talk, like the EU leaders are saying about no deal without movement of people.

You've changed your tune. A week ago you were the only person in the country who knew the exact meaning of "Brexit means Brexit".

If ever there was a time for the Sensible Party to come up with its first policy, that time is now.

    It won't now.

The EU can't shift their view on free movement without first altering the entire EU definition of free movement, the idea that the UK will get single market access without agreeing to maintain whatever the EU stance is on free movement at the point of exit, is simply not going to happen for the reasons explained a thousand times since the entire debate on Brexit started.

This is what I think will happen.
Britain will ask to remain in the single market without freedom of movement and without the jurisdiction of the ECJ.
If the EU don't accept that then Britain should try to negotiate a free trade deal with the EU.
If a free trade deal can't be achieved then everyone would go for WTO terms.
