Assuming Bellerin, Walcott and Cazorla (our most important midfielder) are still out, it will be a much tighter game than you think. I'm hoping we win, but just have a bad feeling we're going to draw this. 1-1.
You're right in many respects Spurf, but this 'run of poor games', when you look at it a bit ruthlessly, actually stretches back to the Chelsea game last season. With the sole exceptions of City and Stoke, we haven't looked remotely convincing in a stretch of 16 games. I don't think you can call that an over-reaction. This is steadily turning from a 'run of form' to 'the norm'. Just pray Harry returns riding on a unicorn and solves this whole mess. If he returns playing like he did at the beginning of the season, we are utterly screwed.
Easy old boy, constant page refreshing, scrolling and typing on a smartphone isn't quite so easy you know
You can still win games even if you concede, but if you don't score you've got no chance of winning....unless we are going to rely on own goals to get us through games
I stuck £40 on an Arsenal win in the NLD earlier today which will return me £80 if the result comes in. Never been more confident about winning some money. Wish I'd put more on after tonight's performance! I know you shouldn't bet against your own team but it manages my expectations. To be honest I'd pay £40 to even get a draw on Sunday so it's a win win scenario for me right now.
You're not entirely wrong. We're not the same without either of them. They're both part of the spine of our side...
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "We were poor. I have nothing to say about Wembley, we were poor. "If we analyse the game we created the same number of chances and have more possession but the feeling was always that is was difficult to score. "We don't have the freedom to play and show real quality. After two games at Wembley, both have been poor. It is not an excuse, it is the truth. "Mousa Dembele is an important player for us but it (his first-half injury) is not an excuse. He twisted his ankle and cannot continue in the game. "We need to improve and change some things. We are in a bad moment. After Manchester City we don't win and we need to be critical and find answers." ANSWERS: 1) Stop all this ridiculous pissing about with the ball at the back. Hugo's distribution is about as good as Fedex. 2) Stop playing Son up front, he isn't a striker. 3) Stop giving players new contracts when they haven't actually done anything to deserve it. 4) Lock the players in a small room and don't let them leave until they can successfully complete a 3 yard pass. 5) Send Sissoko back to Newcastle. Preferably not via Fedex.
Great observation. Poch did a Harry back in April last year. Flirting with Alex & Manu just like Harry did with England. Poor form and sign of weakness or avarice. "Bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush".
It is a long poor run CK but we have seen the team play City and Stoke so it's still in there. We just have to become more consistent and start putting the ball in the net. Have faith with the plan that has worked so well and stick at it. Dier Eriksen Deli can not continue to play as badly and there were a few signs tonight that Eriksen may be close to returning to form. The other side is the form of Verts. which has been tremendous and Walker too despite loosing it a bit towards the end of this game.
Have we actually paid/got to pay £30mill for Sissoko? What was all this £6m a season talk? If we sell him in the summer, do we only pay £6m? Wishful, unrealistic thinking, I'm guessing.
