http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37842815 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37843126 It was just a group game and as much as it's always good to get points on the board and progress it wasn't a knockout game or anything. I would say that City are heading in the right direction under Pep and they played very well but I simply don't understand the reaction from the media. From fans I would understand it, beating Barca is a great win and I would expect some bragging rights and OTT celebrations.
Everything is black and white with the sports media. You're either a winner or a loser, on the way up or on the way down, never where you should be at any point in time. Plus, the media likes to set people up to fail. Of course it's all bollocks. We beat City 2-0, recently. Does that mean that we'd have trounced Barca? Of course it doesn't.
Yep, otherwise they'd have had to mention that we're the only English side to beat them in the CL at the Nou Camp.
We can only beat the teams we play against, like Spurs. We have no option to spank Barcelona at the moment, but be assured Barcelona are fearful of next year when we return. The thoughts of Moreno make them cry at night.
Seriously, Barca don't look anywhere near as smooth or potent without Iniesta. He's a massive loss for them Fair play to City though. They wanted it more, ran further, tackled harder, and counter attacked brilliantly.
Agree with Luvgonzo, the Barca front 3 are overrated. No biggee beating them these days. Look at us spank City last week who then beat Barca. Imagine the destruction we would've caused Barca. They got off lightly tbh. Suarez is a spoofer. He goes down quicker than a cat scratching itself ffs!!
Suarez only bothered coming to England to pop into Liverpool to say Hi to the lads. The City game was an inconvenience to them as they're group winners. City basically won a training game against Barca and the media are acting like clowns.
Yes Your defenders will need to wear shoulder pads though, if they want to make it out the game alive when bucktooth has his customary mental breakdown.
I've a lot of sympathy for him Sky. I heard at the end of the game against Palace, reason he had his head in his shirt, he was biting himself!!
