I know alot of people wanted him out but I always thought Johnson added alot to the Leeds side - especially last year!! Surely would have been better than Brown!! Everytime Southampton had a goal kick or hit the ball up field it seemed to by-pass our midfield and I couldn't help think if Johnson was there he would have won his fare share of headers and broke play up a little - pity we couldn't have kept hold of him!! Seemed to be mainly Kisnorbo that was winning headers yesterday!!
Kisnorbo looked good but we cant keep saying what if we kept hold of players. Im hoping brown will come good and i think he has shown in pre-season he is capable, clayton just doesnt seem like a defensive midfielder to me, looked far more comfortable when howson dropped back with him
Sorry - I didn't mean to go there!! I meant that we looked like we missed a midfielder that can win headers and stop long balls going through to our defence. I'm sure Brown will be better in the coming week's - to be fair it wasn't just him that had a shocker yesterday!! Under Grayson Leeds have always responded in the right way after a terrible performance so let's hope it's out of their system now!! I thought Kisnorbo looked good and Clayton showed some flashes of what he can bring to the team - although I agree he isn't a defensive midfielder!!
I would settle for one who could win the ball fair and square and not look like he was going to be sent off at any second.
I think the ball seemed to by-pass our midfield. So not sure what BJ would have added to the occasion.
It's our defence that needs sorting, O'brien is utter piss, O'Dea is not a left back, we need lizhai or whatever you call him in for Connolly and you can't fault kisnorbos heart and passion but is he really fully fit?
