to be fair he should have got at least 1 penno when can took his legs out. Dunno how that dirty turk gets away with it all the time. Don't think i've seen a more dirty player than him and thats comparing him to the likes of savage, dennis wise and roy keane

    simples.

    1. can is not dirty. he's sly. there is a difference

    2. zaha was never getting a pen cos he's got a rep for diving. his first was a swan dive. he did the same exaggeration on the one you refer to and help ref wave it away.

    3. look at LFC v spurs. ref gives a ridiulously silly pen that was a flop and then ignored the second real shout which was a pen to even it up. refs won't give it if they think they'll be savaged for it.

the fact is there's barely a word about this in main stream.. why... cos everyone knows zaha has got form.

WHY did pardew drop townsend though? that decision prob cost him the game.

no idea why pards dropped townsend. Would he have made much of a difference? didn't watch the match but apparently you guys savaged palace. Think it would have been worse as i reckon clyne would have had townsend in his pocket.

Yeah he's an idiot for swan diving on that second. The reason why theres barely a word in the main stream is because they aren't going to kick up a fuss for palace on liverpool. As much as astro likes to make out liverpool have it bad, the media love you guys as theres probably more ex pool players employed as pundits than any other team.

I was just winding you guys up about can in relation to savage etc but he's got the dirty/slyness (one and the same) of mascherano and ramos. He toes the line pretty well where he leaves his foot in thats on the borderline and if theres a danger you know he will take you and the ball out if needs be.

    I think

    a) they set the stall out and were not aggressive at all. Second half they came out and pressed higher on us and shut of the spaces where coutinho was deep and laughing at them.. I think they lost the game before they ever started it (barring two complete lfc gift goals to keep them in the game)

    b) we absolutely trounced them for the first half. absolutely hammered them...

    c) you are about 10 years out of date on the media there.

    d) can is well educated. better than henderson who makes it too obvious.

That ex-Arsenal ****er on Football Focus (name escapes me) described a footballer as "Supremely intelligent" last Saturday. What a ****ing ****. Supremely intelligent? Yeah, just like Turing, Maxwell, Newton etc <laugh>

You have Costa in your team, and you think Can is dirtier? Anyway, assuming you saw the game on something other than BBC Salford, what did you think of the Palace handball against Coutinho? Was it even worse than the two that Cahill got away with at Anfield a couple of seasons back? About the same level of severity, in my view - penalty and sending off for stopping a goalbound attempt. In fairness, Marriner would have difficulty seeing Saturday's one, whereas Cahill's were ten yards away from a referee already pre-occupied with spending his brown envelope stuffed with roubles.

Costa is dirty. Although recently he's been more calm now so hopefully that behaviour stays and he's been far more effective.

As for palace handball, i can see why the refs missed it, it was very quick and all happened so fast. Would have had liked that to go in though i have coutinho in my FF team!

I agree o nthe hand ball. it was only in slow mo that it was picke dup IMO. it wasn't like there were screams of injustice live on the pitch.

you got 2 assists... don't get greedy.

So apparently if the lino was eagle eyed, the firmino goal should not have stood as he began taking off his shirt before the ball crossed the line.

According to the law it should have been awarded as a foul to palace.

Is it relevant whether it was picked up? I said myself that I don't blame the officials for missing it, but nevertheless it is relevant when pardew is whimpering about injustices that the clearest penalty of that match that wasn't given was against his side.

    Exactly.

All his supposed injustices got discussed in detail on Motd. yet the most blatant one we should have got omitted :emoticon-0172-mooni

that is fair enough but a separate thing no? Pardew is a whinger and a dirty ****. you could tell he sent his side out to "get stuck in" for second half as well. He'd whinge no matter what.

He should be chanrge for his comments though.

I felt the contrast in refs between the spurs midweek game and this one was stark.

The spurs game was ruined by picky ref blowing up every flop. i nthis one the ref prob went too far in allowing just about everything to flow and the first half was a great game as a result.

Beginning to take your shirt off is not a foul

It comes under Law 12 Fouls and Misconduct so while not technically a foul, punishment and resulting free kick are the same.
