The link that Pete gave us also shows that the Government are reneging on the Leveson inquiry proposals accepted by the last Government. I suspect the hand of Murdoch here.

Still nothing to add I see apart from insults. I do not hide behind the sofa in fear of immigrants as you seem to do. I am out most days, at the beach, in the mountains or in a cafe having an intelligent conversations with my Spanish friends who seem to have much better knowledge about the EU than most of the posters that you are mentally dependent upon.

Should we tackle racism by repeatedly quoting bigoted rags, like the Mail and the Express?
I seriously doubt that the continuous stream of hatred that they've unleashed for decades has helped.
Their demonisation of the disabled as spongers and a drain on society has been delightful, too.

I'd actually agree with you about Brexit not being responsible for the increases, though.
They've been going on for some time and are part of the narrative that's lead to the Leave vote itself, rather than a result of it.
Preaching intolerance and hatred's been a big part of the environment that built the campaign.

Do you have any opinion on why there seems to be an increase on hate crimes across the board?
