Report last week that London will continue to dip next year and will be the last area of the country to recover.

Peter Hitchens were saying that people from Syria who go to Turkey are refugees but the one's who continued to the jungle were economic migrants.

You really are pathetic. I don't think you have ever added anything constructive to the debate. You are just Hull's yes man.

Corbyn massively outstays welcome at friend’s house
    http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/polit...stays-welcome-at-friends-house-20160822112744

"LABOUR leader Jeremy Corbyn regularly stays far too long when he visits a friend’s house.

Party activist and friend Donna Sheridan used to be pleased to see Corbyn, but now feels he is incapable of taking the hint that it is time to finish his biscuit and go.

Sheridan said: “Once he gets settled with a Maryland cookie and a good discussion about the Venezuelan labour movement, it’s impossible to shift him.

“Even if I drop heavy hints like saying I got up early and I’m practically falling asleep, he can’t seem to grasp that it really is time to **** off.

“Last week I told him I had to get dinner ready, but he mentioned he was only having boiled vegetables at home so I had to let him stick around for lasagne.

“Once I asked him to leave directly, but he said the fact that I’d invited him over gave him a clear mandate to have more cups of tea unless it was put to a vote by all party members.”

Corbyn said: “I fully admit I once stayed overnight on Donna’s sofa and helped myself to Weetabix, but that was due to the lack of a local night bus service caused by years of Tory underinvestment.” "

No wonder God's tagnut appears such a twitchy and aggressive chap these days, as they're massively over priced.

It'd be a shame if Sean downsized his London operation and tagnut lost his job, none of us would want to see that like.

Correct deckchair placement could have saved the Titanic, says Corbyn
    http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/polit...-saved-the-titanic-says-corbyn-20161007114961

"JEREMY Corbyn has argued that if deckchairs on the Titanic had been properly arranged it would have successfully completed its journey.

The Labour leader believes that a placement of deckchairs according to principle, not short-term pragmatism, backed by a substantial majority of third-class passengers would have made hull damage irrelevant.

He continued: “People talk about the Titanic as if it was doomed from the moment it hit that iceberg, when it was a marvellous opportunity to reconfigure seating to reduce inequality on board.

“Positioning first-class passengers toward the ship’s stern and redistributing third-class passengers into the ballroom would have seen the Titanic proudly and fairly sailing into New York.

“But instead the wealthy selfishly put their own survival above the good of the collective. If only I had been there.”

Corbyn added: “I, of course, would’ve placed myself at the ship’s bow supporting Diane Abbott while declaring myself to be the people’s representative of the world.

“I have a clear mandate to do so.” "

‘I really enjoyed that,’ says Jeremy Corbyn
    http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/polit...njoyed-that-says-jeremy-corbyn-20160922114198

"JEREMY Corbyn has told friends that he really enjoyed his second leadership contest in 12 months and suggested they do one every year.

The Labour leader, expected to easily beat rival Owen Smith, said that touring the country speaking to rallies of fervent supporters was the perfect way to spend the summer.

He continued: “I can’t believe I initially resented the parliamentary party for this.

“But instead of trying to sound convincingly unhappy about Brexit, I’ve had three months doing my absolute favourite thing of being more left-wing than everybody else, and what a treat.

“To be honest being in charge is a faff, so having a break from it while everybody reaffirmed their devotion to me was just the boost I needed.

“And I can’t lose because even if I did it’d all be the fault of Blairites and the mainstream media and the NEC and we’d demand a new contest, so there’s no risk whatsoever.

“Ah well, fun’s over until next year I suppose. Back to the jam-making.” "

    Meanwhile in reality...

    https://www.theguardian.com/politic...ng-a-softer-eu-exit-could-yet-be-on-the-cards
we learned more about the government’s preferred Brexit plan from the business secretary in a 10-minute television interview than we have in four months from the prime minister and her three cabinet Brexiters.
Appearing on the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show, Greg Clark was pushed on just what the government had promised Nissan to persuade the carmaker – as it announced last week – to swallow its Brexit fears and produce its next two models in Britain.

The decision was clearly a huge boost to the government, guaranteeing some 7,000 jobs in Sunderland and allowing Theresa May to hail a vote of confidence in post-Brexit Britain. But what had induced Nissan to stay?
Breaking with the PM’s edict of not providing a running commentary, Clark delivered a clear signal that No 10 is aiming for a free trade relationship with the EU similar to the single market and customs union:
What I said was that our objective would be to ensure that we would have continued access to the markets in Europe – and vice versa – without tariffs and without bureaucratic impediments and that is how we will approach those negotiations.
As our colleague Patrick Wintour noted, Clark’s clear implication was that Britain’s target will be not just to avoid tariff and non-tariff barriers with the EU for carmakers but probably to seek similar deals for other industries in a sector-by-sector approach.
The first point about this is that when it comes to the negotiations, part of the government plainly sees access to the EU single market as at least as important as migration controls and ending oversight from the European court of justice. That appears to be at odds with May’s stated priorities.
The second is that the logical inference from Clark’s remarks is that he believes Britain should stay in the customs union – which is not necessarily the view of Liam Fox at the Department for International Trade.
The third is that it is by no means clear – some would say highly unlikely – that the EU will be open to such sector-by-sector negotiations.

Pete will be dismayed that they have released their negotiating strategy. The rest of us will be dismayed that they did it on TV rather than in parliament.

I'm not bothered about anybody knowing the negotiating strategy. As long as they keep their tactics secret.
