Cllr Alan Clark @CllrAlanClark @bbcburnsy im hearing the SMC want to gate off the footbridge and path from Argyle street to the stadium. Little public consultation 1/2 Cllr Alan Clark @CllrAlanClark @bbcburnsy 2/2 happening and i think this is bigger then just the local area. Could you find out anything on this please? @RadioHumberside I can't think why they'd want to gate it off?
Isn't it within his power as the councillor for that ward to investigate himself rather than asking a journalist?
You'd think so. What's the point in gating off the walkway from Argyle Street when there's obvious direct access to the stadium via West Park? I've genuinely never encountered people that come across as such ****s as the Allam's. They'll be wanting to gate off West Park next with themselves as sole key holders!
Bizarre in the extreme. The club is do cold and calculated. I walked pasy the ticket office a couple of weeks back it is just so impersonnal. It might aswel have a big poster up flicking 2 Vs with the words **** you on it.
Some of the park entrances don't have gates, so it's impossible to close the park. They put a gate on the entrance to the corporate car parks ahead of this season, but I've never seen it closed, but maybe they're planning on closing off the KCOM site completely when it's not in use?
It'll be summat like that. It looks to me like they may be retreating & securing their position before the oncoming final battle. They may be close to showing potential new buyers around the premises & don't want kids spray painting "Allam's **** Off" or "We want Allam Out" or "The Allam's are Worse Custodians than Fred & Rosemary West" all around the stadium, like last time.
Strange I've heard the SMC previously bigging up (as the young 'uns say) the direct link to hotels such as the Holiday Inn for the stadium Presumably this is about out of hours and might be an extension of all the barriers put round the stadium itself? To be fair though the way the crowds are going we don't really need that many open routes even when games are on
