The attendance at the KC for the opening fixture of the Football season. I would have expected around 22k after all it was a Friday evening plus the opponents are well-known as a good footballing side and have just come down from the PL..

And after the good pre-season and new faces brought in fans would want to see the new-look team..

Was it because a couple of thousand have just stayed at home or watched it on Sky in the pub?

It's because we have poor quality, fickle, fair-weather fans. <ok>

Sky TV showing it, home form, tickets & price of travel (for some) all come into the equation.

Have to agree, personally I believe people bought passes last year under the belief we would do really well and get promoted, we didn't and now they aren't all too interested in the mid table challenge we're in for this year, time to get used to the sub 20k attendances again I think.

Monies tight at the mo, so when you can watch it for free then that's always going to reduce the gate. Remember there were 20,000 in to watch a friendly!

Expect 6000 for Tuesday night, are they doing anything special for the ticket prices? If they charge a tenner and let kids in free I might be tempted.

I think it's £10 adults, £5 kids, but I'm only going from memory, it's a pain to check on my phone.

Sky showing it, a Friday night game and the middle of the school holidays didn't help the attendance. Hopefully it'll pick up in a few weeks though.

A mixture of Friday night, dont forget we get a fair few fans travelling in from outside the region and possibly a friday night trip would be dificult for some., Sky showing it live, school holidays started, money is tight, people having to work. Im sure on the next saturday home game we will top 20,000.

Hopefully the prospect of seeing Brady will have captured some of the armchair fans for our next home game. I just hope they didnt show that half time embarassment on Sky too?? What the fuk was that. That fat cnut loves the sound of his own voice anyway but to let him go for a full 15 minutes drove me mad. Cringeworthy.

It's £10 adults, £5 concessions and a pound for kids on Tuesday night.

The attendance isn't a disgrace when you think about it - we always need about 800 for segregation, plus Blackpool left well over 2,000 seats in the North Stand.

It's slightly disappointing that we didn't get 20K, but with it being televised and the fact that a lot of people are on holiday at this time of year makes me think that 19K is about right

Attendances will carry on dropping, the fans will speak with their feet.

I really have a hard time believing that TWF is 20 years old.

He kinda reminds me of an old man I took care of last year (worked in the elderly care)
He had some problem with his blatter (and with his memory), so he repeated the same **** every fifth minute (I really gotta go to the toilet). It didn't matter if you reminded him about his urine bag. He didn't give a ****, he wanted to go the toilet! Even though everyone else ignored him.....

    I'm just sayin.....<whistle>

How many of you have a Sky subscription then complain Sky is showing the match? There are many factors as to why people don't go but nearly 19,000 is not a bad gate.

In our promotion season our first 2 games were only 16,633 and 15,939 then it went 19,642, 15,456 and 15,001, and we lost our first game of the season so rally we have done well to increase our support over the years.

    Its deja vu :)
