The failure to beat Watford means that by the time they host Manchester United, the Swans will not have won at home in the PL for more than 6 months: the last victory coming against Liverpool on 1st May. Having started the season relatively poorly, Mark Hughes' team, with former Swan Joe Allen very much to the fore, have recorded back to back 2-0 victories over Sunderland and Hull, to climb to 16th in the table. Swansea and Stoke have played each other on 66 occasions, with the Swans winning 21, Stoke winning 24 and 21 draws. One of those draws came in last seasons corresponding fixture which ended 2-2. Ibrahim Afellay marked his 30th birthday by giving Mark Hughes' side a half-time lead as he headed in Marko Arnautovic's cross. Bojan Krkic doubled the lead early in the second half with a fine solo goal. But Gylfi Sigurdsson pulled one back with a shot on the turn that wrong-footed keeper Jakob Haugaard, and Paloschi's deflected strike earned a battling point for the Swans. With the match taking place on Hallowe'en, Swansea Manager Bob Bradley will be hoping that the Swans will not put in another horror away performance, but instead display some of the battling characteristics of the final 20 minutes at the Emirates. My heart says that the Swans will come away with a point from a 1-1 draw, however my head says a 2-0 home win.
If we play like we did against Hull I think we will take the 3 points. Good luck and may the best team win
We are improving like lightning since Bob the builder took charge, He has changed the way we were playing when we would only get 1 or 2 and no chances at goal to 6 or 7 chances in a more attacking style.....Our passing has improved and we even had 11 more passes than Arsenal at their place and that is unheard of against them......We need points and the way Bob is working it is imenent that we will have a win on the cards just like your first win not long ago.......I fancy a 2-0 swans win or the very least a point tomorrow......Sould be a hard fought game...
I always get a bit nervy as ko time approaches. All the omens bar one suggest a win for us. We are on a bit of a run, but how often do Stoke do this to their suffering fans, and by that I mean, to promise a pleasing result from what should be not too difficult a game, only to let us down. Yes I know I have a degree in pessimism, but Stoke have done this let down bit so often, I just fear it might happen again. I shall be utterly distraught if it does happen, but it will not be my fault.
