Always maintained neither candidate did anything to inspire me. I think your angle is Trump will shake up world politics, but at what cost is a very serious question. You have to look deeper than it being humorous. It was Hilary's to lose up until a week ago, but whilst that looked unlikely, it once again becomes a reality.
I have looked deeper - I love Trump's policy for building a 20 foot wall across the Mexican border. I have urged our Government to do the same with Scotland
Trump lies with every breath. One of the Universities ran an honesty analysis of the two candidates and Ms Clinton scored pretty highly, whereas the Donald's rating was abysmal. His fans just don't seem to care how much he lies though, and neither does he. Our CEO would be proud of him.
I land in Boston on Election Day. Not sure whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. All I know is I'm going to be asked "what do you think of our president?" To which I've got the following: "Donald who? Never heard of him. Was there an election? Didn't know that, so cannot comment."
James Comey should take a leaf out of J. Edgar Hoover's book. He was head of FBI for 41 years, and died in office. He had something on every single American president during his reign, but kept it private, using this knowledge for his own ends, which was to have power over the president. Watch what happens to Comey if Clinton wins.
Did I? I'll be impressed if you find a post where I allude to that. I remember disagreeing when you said previously that trump was in the lead.
A poll just after Roland took over had me saying that he would be bad for #cafc and everybody else saying that we needed to wait and see....!!!! ....???? Plus at the time Elf was very impressed with Katrien's frontage ..... how time and public opinion changes people's perspective..
Nothing rouses the moribund Labour Party quite like an irrelevant grievance. They are having a great day today - Orgreave zzzzzzz- totally irrelevant in just about every sense possible - and now Leveson/gagging Murdoch. Whatever next - Labour Party Xmas party sponsored by Stop The War ?
It's naive to support Trump just because he's right wing. A lot of what he says is absolute gibberish when you see it written down. What he does know is how to feed into people's dreams. For instance he's in Michigan now where they used to make cars which nobody now wants to buy. He's going to solve unemployment there. Yeah right. In another town where there was a transport problem he was going to build bridges and railway lines. Reminds me of Jeremy Corbyn who says he's going to build a million houses. Yeah right. A fraud's a fraud left or right, and political bias should not blind anyone to that.
to be fair, a lot of what he says contradicts what he'd said 5 minutes before, sadly the majority of American's can't remember that far back.
There is a good article about Hillary in the New York Post today, analysing her foreign policy positions over the last 15 years. From Iraq to Lebanon to Syria to Putin - Clinton has called it wrong every time. A truly astonishing record of bad judgement, with quotes to back it up. And this from a Democrat-leaning newspaper. (The article is by Ross Doudhat and was published on 23 Oct - well worth a read)
We haven't heard much about the 3rd candidate, who is standing in Utah because they hate the other 2 candidates. When asked what he thought about the situation in Aleppo he asked "What's a Leppo?" Private Eye has a Trumpton strip cartoon where his slogan is Vote for Me because I'm not Hillary Clinton. Hers is Vote for Me because I'm not Donald Trump. Sums it up in one.
