I didn't answer as it was obvious where you were going with it.

If you'd have been more specific I'd have maybe answered.

You've now called me a hypocrite 3 times for choosing to avoid your obvious tangent, and based on **** all but your imagination i.e. a strawman argument, as you've put words in my mouth.

    You're **** at this.

Perhaps I've missed something over the last few pages but how can anything Tobes has said be interpreted as discriminating on race?

It can't! It's Dull's usual pathetic attempts to divert and derail the discussion at hand.

You can see it coming from a mile away. It's standard Dull tactics, especially when yet again trying to defend the indefensible.

    ^^^^^Strawman alert.^^^^^

I DO accept there's a problem with racial abuse as well as other forms of abuse and discrimination. I've quite clearly said so several times.

So, given your professed intellectual superiority, I'm interested to see these solutions of yours.

I've only used your words. The direction it was heading is obvious.

Your posts are littered with abuse, but you claim to be the white knight fighting abuse...as long as it's only racial.

    That's discriminatory and hypocritical.

So do you also accept that the Brexit vote gave racists a sense of validation and as a result they crawled out from under their rocks and felt it was somehow now 'Ok' to racially abuse immigrants, hence the huge increase in reported race hate incidents since?

    Did they exist pre brexit?

Did brexit create the mind set?

Will ignoring the pre- existing upward trend help or hinder a solution?

Only you haven't, as the only issue I've passed comment on is racial abuse, as that was the issue being discussed.

So you've not used 'only my words' at all Worzel.

As predicted you've jumped to where you were trying to head for anyway. This is an anonymous internet forum, if I call you a **** it's because you're coming across as a ****. I don't know your name, your race, or anything about you that you've not chosen to share. You have dished out as much as you've taken, as have the others who've been involved in the 'abuse' that you're alluding to. None of which has anything to do with the vitriolic racial abuse that we were discussing. Which is done by people who do know who they're aiming it at, and why. Trying to lump calling some random a **** on a forum with racial abuse, as if they're on the same level, is yet another hint at what you are btw.

Solutions have been sought for as long as these prejudices have existed.

The word prejudice is literally pre-judgement. In other words, you're judging something you really don't understand or know about. Which is pretty stupid when you think about it.

How to overcome it! One step would be to open your mind. Mix with people different to you, visit their countries, learn about their culture. You might find that what you always believed to be so, isn't!

The reason there is far less prejudice amongst the young nowadays is because they mostly have to mix with different races and cultures at school. The ones who aren't completely thick, or completely indoctrinated by their relatives, quickly realise that although these people might look different, or talk differently, believe different things, etc. Underneath it all, most are no different them.

So, the first step is to mix, and learn.

A lot, in fact most, of the racists I've come across in my life are people who've barely come into contact with people of different skin colour and / or ethnic origin.

A lot of them are just scared little Englanders who resent the increase in immigration despite it not even coming close to touching their lives at all. Kustard the white Anglo Saxon who said he wouldn't live in an area that isn't white Anglo Saxon is Brexit personified.

So Tobes supports abuse, but differentiates on racial grounds.

After several days Stuttering's superior intellect produces the solution 'let's mix more'.

They both just used loads more words and abuse to say it and still failed to show that brexit was the cause, which is after all the topic at hand.

No wonder they tried to divert the discussion. <doh>

So to recap. Dull thinks the following:

    • The pound tanking straight after the referendum was nothing to do with the referendum.

    • The number of racist attacks spiking straight after the referendum was nothing to do with the referendum.

    • All non white people are black.

He should go on a lecture tour <laugh>

I don't think anyone has said Brexit has caused people to be racist (happy to be proved wrong if I've missed it)- merely that it has given some the opportunity to be more open about their hatred.

I also don't think anyone has "supported abuse". These threads have gone on for weeks and hundreds of pages. Trying to reason logically with the likes of Pete is impossible. Any abuse they have suffered they have been more than happy to dish out too, often peddling some quite vulgar stuff along the way.

Even if someone does "support abuse", it's quite plausible that racism would be considered a step too far. No one has a problem with calling Diego Costa a **** but 99% of people wouldn't dream of publicly, either on here or at a match referring to him as a "dago" or similar.

He's still not acknowledged the first point.

His strawman abuse argument was purely deflection away from the actual discussion and his usual tack of aiming for the moral high ground - despite being as 'guilty' of exactly the same thing himself.
