I'm in a good mood lol. . On Mourinho...would you give him the three years? with the money he can and will spend (when we talk about money with our clubs I think there is no excuse...even though we've used the "we don't spend as much per player" line a little too often.) end of day in my mind three years is long enough to create your own team and meet the minimum your club expects. .. What's your line in the sand? 3 years or more or less?
3 years should be enough to get us back to competing for the title with the resources we have. I am actually hoping he does his usual trick of fluffing the first season while he sorts out the playing staff and style to suit, then wins (or at least makes an assault on) the title. That seems to be his MO everywhere he has been, even at Madrid.
I genuinely thought the same. see that predictor thread ...I named you lot as favourites with him coming in and the buys you made on top of existing squad. My only concern (well, its not a concern I'm enjoying it lol) is he doesn't seem to have that spark back. OK, he's older and more battle scarred so the young braggart act wouldn't work like it did when he first came to the PL. but he really doesn't look like he's enjoying the job. Tbf and I think this has been the issue with your last 3 managers. there's more pressure piles on if you are more defensive minded as a starting point with your team and trying to build your team. it's easier for a manager to talk about transition if they play more gung ho, score goals but concede a lot and don't quite make it...fans like to see the promise in it (see rodgers) even if ultimately they don't achieve it: they get the breathing space. It's more high risk if you are a manager that likes discipline and it doesn't quite work in the first year or so because the football doesn't look great and the points still go astray...it definitely needs 3 years of patience. not what your club hierarchy have shown recently and unfortunately for Mourinho he came to you from a bad year rather than the title winning one if you get what I mean...
I have a feeling there is more going on in his life than living in a hotel or his fathers illness, his demeanour has been very downcast for over a year now and it is the total opposite from his usual self. I put it down to wanting out of Chelsea at first, then the possible "behaviour" restrictions put on him by our club, the fact is, for whatever reason he is not the same man he was two years ago. I hope I am wrong or it gets sorted soon. Moyes, the job was way too big for, LvG had no idea how the Premiership worked. Jose knows the PL and has managed Madrid (it really doesn't get any bigger or more pressured) Like I said, I am hoping his demeanour is down to club requirements at the moment but still hope the man who builds title winning teams in 2 years is still functioning regardless of on screen persona.
Hey, said it before and I'll say it again...as much as it's fun to kick an opponent when they are down its much sweeter to win something against a rival when they are at their best...means you were too. Even more so with so many good managers in the league at the moment. if all are playing well and you win the trophies you damn well earned it.
Ohh, if you go below us at any point in the season, believe me, I will kick, even if it's only for one game
Your kick won't hurt as much as missing out on the 30 point gap we're currently on track to open on you
Here @Diego is Eric still around? haven't seen him on in a year or so unless he's changed his name and I didn't realise.
Nope, not as far as I know, I am **** at spotting name changes though because I reply to posts not posters and rarely look who said what.
