Fish bleated that his hand was forced by the police.
But then he would, wouldn't he?

He was against it. He has since said he regretted caving in but it is a fact he was between a rock and a hard place.
Millwall had a similar issue the other year where they had a dispute with the police and the police said fine, we won'.the police your matches, good luck. They soon backed down. Leeds actually won a case originally brought about by Ken Bates but have been made to suffer as a consequence with the police's awkwardness.

The pointless thing is the article.

You won't find me defending the Allams, obviously, but this article is written as though City are obliged to do what's best for Newcastle fans. If as expected the home crowd is poor and the away fans sell out then the problem isn't away fans not getting enough tickets is it, it's that home fans no longer want to go. And that's the case every week whoever we play.

Newcastle fans are like this. As if they're the first club ever to sell out an away stand. In fact it's exactly the same as the Wednesday fans last season.

For once, City have made a decision that isn't incredibly small time. They're hoping for maximum home support which is the right attitude. The lack of marketing skill and refusal to engage with fans will see it fail but it's a first step. Better than giving up a month in advance and sending all the tickets to the away fans.

City fans dont do Cup games though do they. You know this.
Even before the name change we didnt sell out an FA Cup QFinal at the KC.
They arent going to get them but i dont see why they shouldnt complain. It wont do any good but...

    So you make them.

Like with any product, it's the responsibility of the business to make it sell. If people don't want to buy it find out why and address it.

Why couldn't Fish make a stand and say Bradford can have the North and the NE open corner, here are the 4,000 (or whatever) tickets. I'm afraid this one is ALL TICKET?
Answer: he wanted the gate receipts in time when the club was hard up.
Bit like the railway nameplate fiasco. Cash before principles.

Don't bother with Oxford (all ****ters), Yale (rubbish debaters), or Harvard (right city, wrong country). You might find me on one of the Stanford sites, under a different name. But if you find me, I'll ignore you. I've got my reputation to protect.

I can never seem to stop ****ing at the thought of how massive a club Newcastle are. Same goes for Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds. Aston Villa are huge too, Steve Bruce makes sure we remember that, whereas when he was here he quite rightly reminded us that we are only Hull after all, and we shouldn't expect too much.

Have you never considered that Steve Bruce might have been a bit media savvy?
Damping down expectations/pressure on us while increasing pressure on opponents?

I agree with you to an extent, but I think he often played the little Hull card to take the pressure off himself more than anything.

    Can't knock him for that.

I imagine he will be saying (to the media) that Villa are in the relegation zone and he is trying to steady the ship. Privately he will be thinking or saying 'playoffs here we come'.

Kinell, Bengals. I went to school (sometimes) on Orchard Park. I never even sat an exam and yet Castro struggles with me.

The tech department at my work hate me, because they so often have to ask me 'how'?

Having said this, I'd always encourage kids to get the right qualifications as I don't earn anywhere near what I should.

    Wasted youth and all that...

Even though he had plenty of money to spend two seasons ago lol. So not so 'rightly'.

Waiting for Bruce to lose his mojo at Aston Villa.

School rules, an' that, innit? I have a nephew who couldn't be bothered at all with high school -- let alone higher education -- even though he had every opportunity imaginable. He's now heading for 30, totally unqualified, and never had a job beyond shelf stocking, He's a pleasant and very popular lad, but somehow believes he'll inherit a fortune from my brother (his dad). He won't, as his parents are now retired and spending it all very rapidly on world travels before (like me) they become too old to enjoy it. Youth is wasted on (many of) the young!

He sounds much like me but he might need to get lucky like me. At 30, I'd certainly recommend he went back to uni as a mature student.

Get him doing whatever it is you need to get into social work (I can't remember)?

The money's quite good and if he chooses the right path in in that, he'll have to do next to **** all.
