ah well, following that highly entertaining edition of CC, I am off to bed to dream of a good NCFC football team (if my memory will go back that far)
I think this may well be the end for AN. There have been no real candidates to replace him until now. With Allardyce looking for work and the likelyhood of him getting us promoted I wouldn't be surprised if we go after him. The capitulation today and the loss against Preston at home should be enough to convince the board that with AN at the helm we are not serious contenders for automatic promotion. It's a results driven game and we are not achieving those results.
As I said a few days ago, I know most on here can't stand him, but I'd have him here. I'd take the devils dollar. I think he'd get us competing with Newcastle. The longer it's left, the more unlikely to catch up with them.
Bruce may have been a good appointment, although not popular with all the fans. At least if nothing else he would have been able to explain in no uncertain words what it takes to be a PL CB and captain.
Don't want Alladyce, he's a crook and a long ball merchant. Should go for a proven manager, throw the bloody war chest at it instead of the cheap dross options we seem to favour!
You can't get much more proven than Fatty!! Get him in, sort out our staff, training and defence. Get us promoted, keep us up in the first season, then either someone will come in for him, or we can let him go and get a better standard of manager.
I'd take Alladyce but there's no way he'd come to a club with a board like ours, notwithstanding the fact that we would offer him an annual salary that others would offer him for a week's work
We have some finances, we have the squad and the reputation, to tempt him. We are in a decent position despite playing about 90% of this season as absolute w*nk. Wolves have the rich owners though. That's more up his alley.
Bit annoyed with this quote from Neil; "After the third goal, I would expect us with the quality and experience we've got to go and shut up shop basically, and put it down to a bad day. But it ended in a manner which is probably humiliating for everyone." Shut up shop!?! Most of our opponents will still fancy their chances of a point! How about some fight, pride and effort? Bah!
