Totally agree our performance was abject, never looked like we were going to win. Cant remember one like it under Bruce. Under SB we always looked competitive in the Premier League. Phelan (along with the Allams of course) needs to go should never have been appointed in the first place his 7 points was luck anyway. We are going to need a lot of that luck going forward if we are to get any more. Hopefully we have not used it all up. Would be great if we could get Big Sam in, but, highly unlikely, since I don't believe he would want to come.

I thought our midfield was a bit disorganised today. I wonder if playing Hudd in the middle of it might have provided some sort of focus?

Possibly not but having two forwards on the pitch keeps the opposition defence busy and would stop them having all the time and space to build up attacks, instead of allowing them 2/3 rds of the pitch to do so.

Remember the old saying about remaining silent and being thought stupid is better than opening your mouth and confirming it.

You're one to talk <laugh>. Plus, you did use the word 'remain', which, in accordance with what you said, would leave us relegated.

you mean like backing off, and backing off?
there is no point having any defenders on the pitch if you arent gonna close em down and put em under pressure.

look in my quote again and tell me where I wrote "remain in third from bottom come May"
I was actually looking at the bottom of the table when I wrote that.
    I was looking at Stoke

Stoke play tomorrow, they get something, anything, and we sink even further.
we can get out and get replaced by middlesboro if we get a win at sunlan

Remain: To stay in the place that one has been occupying. If we remain 3rd from bottom as you stated, we'd be relegated. We obviously have different interpretations of what was written, but that doesn't really take me by surprise. This must have been how Basil Fawlty felt when speaking to Manuel about the race horse.

Well, if we remain 18th that is where we will be come may. Do you fully understand what remain means?

A tip for you Patty, acquire a brain to engage. You appear to be the world's only surviving brain donor.

He perhaps isn't - he certainly put more effort into his game than the highly paid Uruguayan international though.

    Jesus ****ing Christ.

Stoke are above us; it is Swansea that are below us. In addition, the game is played on Monday. Think a village somewhere has lost its idiot.
