    Watford -
1 good season in the Championship, a year in the Prem that saw them get one of the lowest ever points totals and then another year in the Championship that saw them implode under the pressure of being in the top two for 6 months, before getting thrashed - by us, remember - in the Play-Offs.

    Colchester -
    FAILED

    Coventry -
    FAILED

Is this the same Aidy Bothroyd who is known for his long ball tactics, and the fact he makes teams hard to beat rather than anything else? He has had one success at Watford taking them up and then brought them straight back down and could not take them back up. Last year he failed at Coventry, why would we want someone with failure on his track record?

If he was our next manager i would be devastated. Your lack of knowledge is shown in that above post that i have quoted for your ease.

Just because he's managed in the prem doesn't mean he's better than NP. Joe Kinnear, Chris Coleman and Lawrie Sanchez have all managed in the prem and none of them are better than NP.

Got do disagree with Percival, regardless of Pearson recruiting Boothroyd would be a step back no doubt

When was the last time Aidy Boothroyd did a decent job?

Probably about the same time Phil Brown did, who now finds himself in League 1. Things move on.

Not really, they usually played it back to Gulacsi who hoofed it forward but you can't blame a keeper for that.

The point is, despite taking Watford up (and down) he hasn't done much else (Coventry etc). NP inherited and kept a struggling Southampton side up, won a title with Leicester and took them to the play offs. Just beacuse Aidy has been in the premiership doesn't automatically make him a better manager. We wouldn't really be making any progress if we did get Boothroyd, a step back in my opinion.

Gordon Strachan has managed in the Premier League. That's enough to give anybody hope. :cheesy:

Didn't Dowie take Palace up once?

Even Dowie's been a manager in the premier league! Think Charlton had had enough of him by October hadn't they?

He also got Watford to the FA Cup semis that season, but even just getting Watford to the Prem is far more impressive than Pearson winning League 1 with a Championship budget. If you take an objective look at Pearson's CV you'll see it's not all that impressive.

I'd rather have Boothroyd, but then again, I'd rather have anyone.

He's entitled to his opinions, i just dont understand the hatred of the Pearsons and Barmby, unless he's personally related to Duffen or Brown.

It's not hatred, it's just that they're not good enough.

As I've said I'm a HULL CITY fan, not a PEARSON fan like some on here.

Fair do's mate. I support the club myself and can see the Pearsons are doing well by it.
