Only time I have been to see City at Watford was back in August 1965, the last full year I was in England. First away match of a new season which turned out to be one of our best ever and a fitting end to living in England. 2 Houghton's played- Ken for us and Billy? for them. It finished 1-1. Score draw again for me.
I saw what you did there, you didn't say 2-1 to whom. That line up would do for me, though did we appeal Dio's charge, if not he won't play, so I guess it will be Keane.
OK thanks, I thought they might so he could play today, then give Mbokani another week to get back fit.
Jak - groom from Nightmare before Christmas? Elmo - Sesame Street favourite? Daws - Diana (the one who looked like a dead heat in a Zeppelin race)? Mag - was this a Blue Peter appeal horse? Curt - one of the Sound of Music kids? Tymon - from the Greek capital? Clucas - loud as you can? Hudd - Roy? Liver - something from the 1970s served with bacon? Hernandez - somebody caught mounting Trump's Wall? Dio - some metallic band? Anyone fancy returning the favour for our squad? Good luck, Tigers. Let's hope it's not a repeat of the mauling you gave us in the Championship play-offs a few years ago, eh?
Having known SCB for some time, I believe the comment you highlighted may have been a sardonic & sarcastic dig at our own club that has somehow managed to whoosh over your head. Never mind.
Awful lot of euphemisms in that, wasn't sure if you were being serious but sounds like you both had a great time - well done. Now back to reality, no idea how we'll perform but Vicarage Lane has been a lucky ground in recent seasons, so more of the same please.
Doubt it mate but funny old game ect. Anyways, that team that night had local pride, hunger and desire and were well up for it that night. Arguably would beat todays team if truth be known.
Give Jarrod Bowen some game time if Keane is ineffective. These young lads need to get some first team experience at some point. Worked for Marcus Rashford recently and Rooney years ago debuting for Man Utd and Everton. This is what these kids strive for in their careers and they would surely take the opportunity to grasps the chance with both hands. Vicarage Road is not a massive venue should nerves be a problem. At least get him on the bench then at least then he's always an alternative if it's not happening for Keane or even Abel, though replacing a Uruguay international with a young unproven kid could be the final straw for some.
You don't lob a kid into a poor team on a losing streak. The downside tends to outweigh the possible upside!
If he has a blinder then all good imho. Anyway what are our other options in all honesty. Character building it could be, Roy of the Rovers stuff.
