Is this the new thread where Fredor gets his fishing rod out and awaits his latest catches to nibble one another. Whilst he chuckles to himself 'You Have Been Fredored Again'. What happened to his own thread?
See personally, I quite like the way these threads go randomly off on a tangent because of his input - there we were, happily discussing a football game and now we're off discussing the meaning of time! Where else can you get that level of diversity??
Even if a record of the event had not been written, I am sure the people of Sunderland that witnessed the events enjoyed the proof of their superiority
Do you all not find it ironical that in an attempt to denigrate J.T brings into sharp focus the short time frame and level playing field of the time for this magnificent achievement
My level of interest satisfies my needs as it does in music, literature, cinematography, other sports and many more aspects of life including history which is in fact a series of definitive events rather than one continuous stream.
Denigrate - moi? I was pointing out a historical (nay almost geological) series of events to help one of our younger members. I was also trying to make the point that while significant for those who lived through it (like yourself) it probably isnt much of a comfort to the thousands who are turning up week after week this season to watch your players re-enact the Cavalry's role in The Battle of Little Big Horn.
Anything to keep the Newcastle supporters happy, that is just the way I am, so I will for the present accede to your requests and concentrate more on the last few seasons , Hang on this cannot be right the stats I am reading seem to me like nothing has changed I tried to make it fair and eliminated all outside influences from other clubs and just judged them one on one Of the last SEVEN ( 7 ) games played between the two clubs Newcastle have won Nil, Nothing, zilch, even the most cockeyed , delusional , idiotic fans in the world would ever claim to be superior in any way when results both long term and short term absolutely refute this
Newcastle fans have won a few Go Cart races and now believe they are good enough for the Grand Prix, unbelievable
Funnily enough my passing interest in football as you call it lasts a hell of a lot longer than most Sunderland fans, I watched the whole match yesterday. Yep Sunderland are record breakers.
To your credit Fredor, your last stand on behalf of the Sunderland board has to be up there with Custer and co.
And this, my friends is a good example of the Mackem mentality. Their existence is wholly defined by NUFC and results against us....
This season shows how hard it must be to support the mackems. We were relegated. They were not. Surely, and his season they should be able to lord it over us and glory in the limelight. Instead they have made themselves a byword for shambolic incompetence while we are acknowledged as rising stars. More people watch us on telly. More people watch us in person. We are, gallingly, still important in a way they simply aren't.
