We'ved got the Silkmen at home to rectify it first. Since its £31 plus the cost of petrol and other things, i can't see many going to Ipswich. Leeds will be priority for most.
not many at Ipswich. And the atmosphere will still be better in spite of being hidden in the refreshment hut in the corner of the ground!!
Getting fed up of all this talk about atmosphere. If people want to make it louder they should start singing, tsalking about it does nothing. Our ground is louder than many in this division, yet people get really hyperbolic about it at times and make out no one has sung a song since the KC opened in 2002. The main reason it has been quiet this last year is because of the frustrating football we have played, when we used to play good football and score goals (07/08) the fans made noise in appreciation. It will not be like the European teams (where they just make a noise all game without any interruption) in this country for a long time yet, but the noise will increase when the team start scoring goals again.
ever been to sunlan, stoke, and even dare i say, leeds? to name but three...oh and birmingham, millwall and palace to name but three more...
Stoke play their songs over the tannoys, I'm not sure I count that as support. Them and Sunderland spend more time talking about how great their support is than actually singing. It's a very PL mentality. Personally I prefer real football Leeds sit in silence most of the game. I haven't been to the other 3 grounds recently but I dare say they get excited when their team score goals just as we would.
Just like to point out when we played good football the ground was electric... i remember the E I E I O at the KC when we went 1-0 up against Boro was the loudest in a long time.. until we lost the game ofcourse but it proved a point.. good football = louder fans i've never had a problem with our atmosphere too much... was good in our first season, **** in the second season then when we were relegated back down here it was alright last season.. not to shabby on Friday either but before the PL it was much louder
There has been less of a problem away from home. I like the idea of away tickets being not seat specific. Enter the ground and take your place as suits, unless the whole allocation is taken up this should give everyone the latitude to support the club in their own way without spoiling it for anyone else.
I stand on the back row in e7 and i have seen a big change for the worse.Only way forward is Adam to bring back unreserved seats that way all the singers will gather together in each BLOCK
