I find them amusing Gimper ... but not for the same reasons (or gratification) that you do ... they are hugely ironice - but you don't really do irony - which is also ironic if you did you'd realise just how ironic this all is ... you first decided to give me the nickname "Bambi" due to your conviction that Leicester City's good start to last seson could not continue and that I was very naiive, like Bambi, in possibly thinking that it might - meanwhile you were puffing out your little pigeon chest over Spurs'own prospects and creating "power shift" and "Juggernaut" threads as a consequence... as the record books now show, it all came crashing down around your rather dense noggin in a footballing car crash (your missus wasn't driving this time) of bilblical proportions - as it stands the only one of us looking completely naiive by the end of it all was you ... Leicester City win the title in imperious fashion and Spurs capitulate to again finish below Arsenal. Your latest cartoon creation is almost a perfect pictographic metaphor for what happened to you and your team last season ... irony on the grandest scale please log in to view this image
I see no embarrassment in trying to win so hard that you exhaust yourself and get overtaken for second on the line! Better than being the team who were never in the race surely.
Can't wait to play Leicester and exact some timely revenge. Should be at least an easy draw, but would like to see Janssen getting on the score-sheet in the Prem. He deserves it. I'm also hoping that agent Defoe can do the business against the Gooners. That would be a sweet little bonus, but not essential.
The only sensible interpretation of the banner is that the 2015/16 PL eventually turned into a two -horse race between Leicester and Spurs which Spurs lost and ended up 3rd. Arsenal dropped out of the race for first before Spurs did. Who do you think the two horses were?
PowerS, mate, don't. If you try to argue with simpletons you only end up dragging yourself down to their level. Give it up, mate.
Yes it was a two horse race but you came 3rd first time in history. Fish in a barrel son, fish in a barrel.
You were responding to a Leicester fan and said 'better than being the team who were never in the race'. In what way was that a reference to Arsenal when you were responding a fan of the team who won the league ? Also you said that you were overtaken for second on the line, you weren't you were overtaken by Arsenal for 3rd
The Leicester fan managed to understand what I meant.....the point stands: its not an embarrassment to get close and then fail. More embarrassing never to get close and have to crow about coming second.
