And I forgive you for it. I love the album version's intro, I nearly wore the grooves out on that record but I love all of their stuff, even the batshit crazy stuff like We've Got a Bigger Problem Now' but Plastic Surgery Disasters is my favourite and in my top 10 albums of all time.

I went to the Rebellion Festival in Blackpool this summer with some mates I've known for more years than I care to remember. When I said Mrs Brian and I were going to see Jello Biafra instead of Pussy Cat & the Dirty Johnsons, they were amazed and said not nice things about one of my favourite bands and singers. How anyone who loves punk can not love Biafra and the Kennedy's is beyond me. I saw them a few times in the very early days and they were sensational. I went to see the other half of the DK's in Islington last week and that was bloody good too.

I was in Croydon on Saturday to celebrate 40 years since the release of New Rose on the site of The Greyhound, where I was introduced to live Punk Rock by a cousin from Croydon in '77. I saw The Ramones and Talking Heads on the same night. Happy Times.

Bild are reporting that Schalke are preparing a to make Bentaleb's loan permanent with a €19m bid, which is £17m bid at this point in time...and about £632m if they wait until next summer.

Decent deal all around. Both Dier and Wanyama are young enough to be around for years to come while Winks is possibly the heir to Dembele, so it's fair to say Nabs probably wouldn't have got much of a look-in here after losing his place.

Judging by his performance on Tuesday, Winks is miles off of Bentaleb's level; even more so Dembele's. There is no logic in selling one exciting prospect who is the same age as another exciting prospect but much further down the path of development, on the off chance that the second and less experienced prospect turns out to be a better player. The only cause for Bentaleb's departure should be if the player himself hands in a transfer request.

Miles off of the 14/15 Bentaleb, better than the 15/16 Bentaleb, with seemingly a far better attitude.

Nabs did ask to leave the club though, Poch confirmed it back in August:

"He is training with the under-21s. He is not with the first team because he wanted to leave," Pochettino told a news conference. "I think I explained very well. If he wanted to leave, he can come and see me, I say: 'OK you can leave.' He is waiting to try to find a place away from Tottenham. But there is nothing to do. We share the changing room and the restaurants all together. It's not a problem.

"Only that the rule is very clear: If you are not part of my plans, why are you training with us? He understands very well, like any other player. It is not a big issue, not a problem. Sometimes it looks like a big, big issue, but it is very normal in football."

If I were to take a guess I'd say attitude may have played a big part in it all:

Nabs - Went from wonderboy in 14/15 to fifth choice in 15/16. Attitude had been questioned even when things were going rosy for him (demanding parity with higher earners when discussing new contract) and I have a feeling that once he lost his place, he just wanted a quick route into first team football rather than staying to fight, so probably approached Poch with transfer request. His downfall is similar to Januzaj's at Utd, burst onto the scene as the next big thing but for one reason or another lost his place and is now out on loan.

Son - First season in England, started promising, middle period was awful (partly thanks to an injury) but ended quite well in the final few games. Had German clubs enquire about him in the Summer so spoke with Poch to see if leaving would be better for him or not, Poch said he's part of his plans and so far that seems right as he's been a god send since Harry's been injured. Going by Spurs TV videos and player interviews, he seems to be a popular member of the squad too, with most putting him alongside Walker as the club's joker, this even when he was out of the team which to me shows he's got a good character and good attitude, so perhaps Poch saw the benefit of both his charisma as well as playing style which therefore made him important to his plans?

Of course it's all guess work but Nabs hasn't done himself any favours of late, German press labelled him arrogant while one German reporter quoted him slagging us fans off. Granted he could've been misquoted but in general if a player gets bad press like that they usually address it via social media or the club's website to clear things up, which he hasn't as far as I'm aware.

Extremely talented young lad who really can go far in the game but I have a feeling his attitude will hinder him.

Hope so, I'd pay off my mortgage in less than a month, or less than a week actually at those rates.

Hope so too, assuming that it's due to further pound tanking rather than some weird Euro gains. That way i can look forward to living the millionaire's lifestyle for a couple of weeks when i return in december!

You get paid in USD as well? Parity would be nice.

Under Apatheid in South Africa, my work colleague had to pay two USD to buy one Rand, now since the ANC have been running the economy, in particular Zumanomics, he gets 14 Rand for one dollar. In the last year he has paid off two mortgages. It would be nice if the pound went the same way.

Yes, I get paid in USD as i live in the US ;)
I'm regretting selling my UK house seeing as prices have continued to rise the the pound plummeted. Was necessary though.

If house price level out in the UK and the pound continues to fall, both of which I think will happen, you will be able to buy a similar house for less USD. I expect the pound to be between $1.05 and $1.10 on the actual Brexit Day, holding for a year to 18 months after Brexit then rebounding. (Providing Trump doesn't get elected when all bets are off, buy gold). It is worth putting a few dollars away and change them into pounds or buy a house about 15 months after Brexit.

So has everyone drawn up their January shopping lists?

...and this being Spurs, has everyone picked up their pitchforks and torches in case we do the square root of bugger all in the January window?

    Silly season has started already.

Rumours in Italy say we're lining up a £34m deal for Amadou Diawara, which is utter bollocks because:
i.) He only signed for Napoli in August
ii.) We already have Wanyama and Dier in that position, so there's no need to spend £34m on a player in that role

Oh yeah, there's some bollocks going around about Harry Kane being off to Liverpool...

    Quite feasible.
Assuming no injuries he will at least be playing for Spurs at Anfield in the PL this season.
Perhaps the FA Cup too if we draw them away.

Talksport are having a **** fest over the Kane story.
They have been talking about it on every show.
Claims that he is DEMANDING 120k per week but spurs are refusing to agree.
All very concerning until they then mention him going to Chelsea or United <laugh> <doh>
