I was in favour of the Transferable Vote but a referendum voted against that so being a democrat I accepted the result.

If we followed the same 'democratic' logic as we do for elections we should have been given the choice of five or six different systems and the one with the most votes should have won!
Personally I thought that the information provided to the public during that referendum was diabolical with the two largest parties stitching up their continued duopoly.

MPs should vote on what's best for the country in their, relatively educated, opinion. If they just go blindly with what the, relatively uneducated, "people" want then they aren't doing their jobs.

If more than 50% of the country are really **** scared about immigration (which I doubt is honestly the case) then it just shows what ******s most of the country is. If the Mail and Sun weren't churning out ridiculous scaremongering stories about how evil immigrants are there wouldn't be anywhere near as much negativity towards them, largely from people who have little to no interaction with immigrants in person.

I don't think it was irrelevant but it wasn't legally sovereign, Laws in this country are passed by Parliament and get a lot of scrutiny. The result of the Referendum didn't lead to a change in the law. It is that process we are now embarking on and I expect MPs to do the job we sent them to Parliament for and vote to enact the referendum result through laws that benefit the people and if that isn't possible, force a General Election.

Why the quotes around leaders? It's not my fault if people are too lazy to find out basic information. Their vote counts as much as mine so they should have the moral imperative to find out!

The ignorance was on all sides, and it's in quotes because they're our representatives in parliament rather than our leaders.

The system is as the system was. It's the way it has to be played. You can't apply your system to the existing.

If you don't like the system, change it, but it's not justification for denying what's descrI bed s democracy.

I don't like the economic system, but accept it's what we've got.

    He's a total ****, mate.

He thinks he's so clever and amusing. In reality he's a sad little man in a sad little existence.

He wouldn't dare say something like that to my lady's face. She'd rip his stupid ****ing head off!..

Actually I voted to Remain. But what is true is that I am not to blame for the UK being the laughing stock of the world, the fall in the pound or the stagnant London property market <laugh>

Let's hope Ballymore aren't impacted as you've got **** all chance of getting a decent job at your age

Why did you not get Tobes to write a strong letter or get Teaboy to come here and have a pointless rant?

You cant accept the result, thats just not on.

It would be funnier if you wrote the letter.

The PM could use it as an example of children showing an interest in politics.

One example of what you're talking about is Sunderland.
Voted Leave, shafted themselves and have virtually no EU immigrants that aren't from the British Isles.
    http://localstats.co.uk/census-demographics/england/north-east/sunderland

Judging by the top languages spoken, it appears that there might be 2,000 EU citizens from non-English speaking countries.
That's about four times as many of them as there are Jedi Knights, apparently.
I await the Express running stories about Force users overrunning the country and ruining our economy.
