There you go lads, bring it back on track :emoticon-0102-bigsm

The English Football League has opened an investigation into Watford following claims the club falsified financial information when Gino Pozzo became their sole owner in 2014.
Both the club and EFL are refusing to comment at length on the matter as it unfolds but the worst case scenario for the Hornets could be expulsion from competitions if they are found to have breached new rules which were implemented in 2014.
The Daily Telegraph reported on Tuesday that Watford submitted a forged HSBC bank letter to show Pozzo had the financial resources to bankroll the Vicarage Road club.
The EFL has now confirmed it is looking into the claims.
"We can confirm, following receipt of information from the Daily Telegraph, that we immediately commenced a Disciplinary Investigation into serious allegations made against Watford Football Club," an EFL statement reads.
"The club has been formally contacted by the EFL and is now required to provide a full and detailed response to the allegations.
"Once that response is received, it will be fully considered by the EFL and appropriate action will be taken under our rules and regulations.

It would be a shame for Watford but it would mean one less team for us to compete against to stay up, honestly cant see that happening though.
Now on the other hand if it was to have been Sunderland everyone else would be screaming for us to be kicked out of the premiership asap, yes i know another conspiracy theory :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Me and the lads have a group on whatsapp to chat about United, since Sunday it's been dead. After Leicester (4-1) it was buzzing for days with not just footy crack but general banter.

    That's all that's happening here.

Think that's it to some degree. There's so little positive to say about SAFC at the moment that the board is really quiet. My work is ramping up massively now so my time on here is much more limited.

I havnt read into this too much but I remember Swindon and Lou Macari in 1990 where we nicely benefitted from a bit of financial irregularity.

Yes I agree I am a fairly new poster on here but I've been a v regular visitor to the site since 606 existed. Since Not606 started many good interesting knowledgable posters came and went due to emotional negative comments.
This site is for discussion and views and fall outs occur
In common most are solid Sunderland fans with different views
No big fall outs - emotional handbags only in my view.
But its very bleak at the moment with Sunderland - most club news seems negative

Yeah we are not all fortunate enough to come up against semi-professional opposition every week ;)

Yes we did but at the same time Spurs were given a paltry fine for financial irregularities that were greater than what Swindon were punished for

The lack of posts probably just reflects the out come on the field. Just can't see David Moyes changing anything. There seems to be a shortage of commitment from the club, the players and the manager. If they can't be arsed, I think it rubs off on supporters and this board.
I sincerely hope it doesn't go tits up, as it's the only connection I have with the club, I've supported for over 60 years, since I moved down to Thailand. I have to admit though, to being just a tad fed up with the results lately, and tend to avoid football discussions.

I'm in a similar position Norway.
Admittedly Cumbria isn't as far away as Thailand but I'm in my late sixties and can't afford to go to games so this forum is a massive link to all things SAFC for me.

Yes things are quiet on here but I think it just reflects how poorly we are doing on the pitch, a winning team brings happy fans, just ask our friends in NE 1.

I would be gutted if this forum ended, I post when I feel I've got something to say, but at the moment because of results being so poor there are only a limited number of times you can criticise people and I try to find the positives in our situation, but its getting harder.

So come on lads keep this forum going even if its only for us 'armchair supporters'.

Comm used to start roughly half of the threads on this board, like him or hate him, he was the one putting coal on the fire.

Chuck 83 in there who usually had something interesting to say on most subjects, then you can see why the board isn't as lively.

Then you've got the password thing, older members are possibly trying to get back on but can't remember passwords etc. The rest of us are asked to toe the line on this site because it's soooooo great and google is watching, bullshit, it's a sad joke of a site and it's run by a complete ****ing div.

exactamundo. Moyes and the players need to turn this around pronto, and give us something to believe in. It's just not there, which is all the more depressing/disappointing after our (my) hopes at the end of last season being at their highest since we came back into the league.

I can't be arsed to post, as the situation boils my piss. Like many others, I've got enough ****e to contend with at work and supporting this club impacts my mood like nothing else - so I'm going cold-turkey on the ****ers.

Your cold turkey will probably last longer than someone whose coming off crack on toast washed down with a white spirit and meths snakebite.

    The plot thickens...
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37853392

Watford chairman Raffaele Riva has stepped down after four years in charge to focus on "other business interests".
Last week the Football League said it was investigating the Premier League club for allegedly supplying false financial information.
The Telegraph said it obtained a forged bank letter submitted when Gino Pozzo became owner before the 2014-15 season.
Riva said: "I fully refute, and will protect vigorously my integrity against, any recent speculation."
Watford, who won promotion from the Championship in 2014-15, could have points deducted or be fined if they are found to be at fault.
Riva, who replaced Graham Taylor as chairman in July 2012, said: "For the past four years I have acted with honesty and in good faith in all my dealings on behalf of the club, and the club has developed and grown a great deal in this period."
