I didnt realise his record so far this season was this bad, especially with the amount of money that has been spent.
Couple this with his disasterous last spell at Chelski, has he really lost the plot? Whats your thoughts on this Tel?

He's like the Yanks were during WW2.

Over here and over hyped. I honestly think he's gone backwards as a manager and no longer has that Aura about him.
I think it all changed when he lost his rag with that Lady doctor at Chelsea. Just saying like.

    I have to agree.

On a side note, imagine how good Chelsea would be now aswell if he hadnt have let De Bruyne and Lukaku go.

Moyes is probably the worst manager you've ever had by that very system of comparison.

Jose will get my full support, if he's attracting top players to the club, it breathes optimism and we know he's not arriving with short term visions. Moyes didn't bring anything but a small club mentality to United.

Moyes was well and truely out his depth at Man Utd. He fecked up by getting rid of the whole backroom staff and not having anybody to seek advice from from the Fergie era.
Man Utd are still one of the biggest clubs in the world though, they dont need Jose to attract players to come to them do they?

Evidently we do. Moyes couldn't tempt a single target to the club in his first window so went and got Fellaini as a consolation, we were rejected by about 20 players, one of whom was Ander Herrera, he agreed to join as soon as LVG was appointed.

He was obsessed with Bale, Fabregas, Alcantara just to name a few, none of them wanted to play for him, even at United.

Mourinho's ego has taken a battering the past year and he's being tested, he'll get all the support he needs to come through. Look how much under the microscope he is, yet Pep hasn't had an ounce of critique. 3 draws against teams they should be beating, a battering by Barca and a a defeat to a rival. Not that much in our last 5 games, yet the media are gunning for Jose, cos he smashed the transfer record... Pep spent more though, that went unnoticed too.

Moyes needs his own squad at Sunderland as well, he's working with a carcass and being asked to feed the masses currently.

I think its cause Jose has already been such a success in this country before coupled with the fact they broke the transfer record signing Pogba and bringing Ibra in everybody expected them to run riot and be a major force. I agree Pep is also massively under achieving.

Im suprised Moyes struggled so much attracting players, i didnt realise players were turning you down. Man U were the current Champions when he took over with the added bonus of Champions league football to attract players?
I remember looking at the Fellaini transfer in disbelief with the amount of money that was involved. He could have been available for about 10m less aswell if hed have been signed about a month before once his release clause hadnt run out.

Exactly mate, it was a catastrophe.

I never expected us to be kicking the **** out of this league. I expected better, perhaps, but Jose is still working out his best team.

All of the attention is on Pogba, but look at John Stones... if Jose'd have signed him he'd be getting murdered for it. Instead, nothing, because we all love Pep.

Chelsea have been waiting to do that to a top team for ages, they're a brilliant side.

It's probably going to get worse tonight anyway.

Stones was a shocking signing as was making Hart available for loan and paying about 20m for Bravo.
After last season it was plain to see United needed a World class Cb and a 20 goal a season striker. Both boxes have been ticked, so i think that also adds to the shock from the public to see United and Jose struggling.

Conte has well and truely sussed out his strongest team and formation. I bet he wishes he tried 343 earlier.
They will be a tough nut to crack now cause they look defensively rock solid and theyve now got the added bonus of Zouma back from injury.

I agree mate, they looked the part on Sunday. They have it all, pace, strength. They'll have their bad patch though.

Unfortunately our CB is out for 2 months now and Jose continues to play Rashford as a winger, which is baffling. That's my biggest criticism of him, Martial's fit now, if you've got a top class left sided forward, play him, don't play a number 9 there. It won't do Rashford any harm to sit on the bench for a while.

I'm interested to see what happens tonight. Carrick simply has to start.

Correct me if im wrong but I think theres 3 Conundrums Jose still hasnt figured out and thats-

    1. What to do with Rooney and which position is his strongest.
    2. How to fit Rashford into his starting 11 without dropping the main man Ibra.
    3. Whos the best central midfield partner to play alongside Pogba.

I agree Carrick has to start tonight and Id play him every chance I could get if i was Jose. He steadys the ship and his experience is massive for the team.

All the money that has been spent in the past couple of seasons but Daley Blind is still playing centre back :-/

Him and Smalling were atrocious against Chelsea

I think 2 is easily fixed, Rashford needs to be dropped for Martial or maybe even Young, he's a striker, simple as that.

Yes he will. He's won everything. Including two CL trophies with so called 'underdogs'.

Ever since he f*cked that female doctor off absolutely sweet FA has gone right for him.
I think he will get Man U back to the top but theres quite a bit of deadwood there now which arent comparable with previous players/teams. He needs backing and about 5-6 new players in my opinion.

Mourinho's record is based on setting up strong defensive teams and for whatever reason he cannot break that thinking. The evidence is there after nine games that Ibrahimavic is not much better than average, Pogba and Rashford given defensive duties first before attacking ones reduces their threat and indicate, to me anywhere, that his thinking is not changed. Against ManC and Chelsea he surrendered midfield space and could not recover against going a goal down, the game against Liverpool was a non-event but he got the type of result he did at Chelsea letting the big buys beat other whilst he does not lose.

I'm not going to compare him to other managers other than to say that they are in their first season whereas he has a few under his belt but is not making the best use of the players he has. I see Real Madrid all over again.

I think Ibrahimavic is deffo the main problem. Has been a great player but not sure he's did the bizzo for Man U
