We all Know moreno is calamitous, but i thought he was ok last night, i dont think we can moan about him being out of position, it is clearly a tactic employed and implemented by klopp, that he wants his full backs as high up the pitch and as soon as possible, TAA did exactly the same last night and clyne has been caught as well. If the gaffer tells you, when we have the ball bomb on, then if we lose possession, unless your a gazelle, your going to get caught out. Its more an issue with the tactics than with any individual player, its the way Klopp wants to play, as with any set of decisions there are pros and cons.
I pointed out earlier that he wasn't the only one to be out of position - Clyne was criminal in making a forward run at such a stage. But that's the point - at that stage of the game. Even an attacking team has to rein it in a bit in the last few minutes to protect a slender advantage. I love Klopp and what he's done for us so far, but if he's coaching them to be too far up in the dying minutes of a tricky game I might just have to go round and poke him in the eye.
This just posted on the Spuds board. "The biggest surprise of the night was Spurs being awarded a penalty at Klanfield, though there is no way the referee would have given us that if the Mousers were just one goal ahead, as proved by the way the referee bottled giving us a second penalty at 2-1 behind for one of the clearest fouls you will ever see. The first penalty was soft, granted, but Lamela did have his shins kicked twice and was fouled, even if there was not enough contact to bring him down. That penalty was more clear cut than half the many penalties that we see Pool being gifted throughout a season. I didn`t expect to win and am not too bothered about going out of the limited prestige League Cup, but I thought there was plenty of `Klanfield Refereeing` going on, with countless soft free kicks going the Dippers` way, and the wry smile on Poch`s face on more than one occasion suggested he was thinking the same. #256 Billy The Yid, 12 minutes ago" Bitter as ****.
What a very unbiased opinion, he clearly was watching the same game as me, but in an alternative universe were you win games if you are the worst team of the two playing.
The Spuds are suffering delusions of grandeur, I've recently read posts on their board calling their club "European Giants"
Yeah i agree, he's suffering from Suarevra virus, it effects ones whole perception of LFC, it was originally discovered on the Manc board in the aftermath of Evragate and the subsequent decision of an FA committee.
Comes close to actually admitting that the first pen was never such in a million years. Btw, why has there been no press whigning about are non penalty on Saturday when Olsen wrenched back Firmino with both arms around chest?
£100m for a utility CB! We could have sold them Lucas to do a better job than that for the £25m they paid his agent!
