    Who reported these clubs? A majority of the Brighton fans? Orvsome utraged club official?

    Let's hope we never hear going down like your trawlers again or we pay your benefits. When our fans get over the trauma they would have to report the clubs.

    I'm really not interested with a players colour or sexuality. My question is, "How many current Premier and Football League players are aliens?" Martin Skrtel and Joleon Lescott are deffo.

    It was the Brighton and Hove Albion Supporters' Club.

    I doubt any footballer was ever frightened to admit if he'd been on a trawler or received benefits.

    Rubbish, name another profession where nobody has ever come out as gay while they were working?

    In fact, in my business, there's an assumption that you're gay unless you come out as straight. <laugh>

    I know I'm hardly saying something earth-shattering here but isnt it tragic that footballers feel that they cant come out? Ashley Cole couldve been a real trailblazer yet he made up a sham marriage and subsequent affairs cos he was so scared /cowardly of the consequences. And people still think he's a ****.

    Good point. Football, and sport in general, is really backwards in this regard. Sport is one of the few industries in the 21st century where homophobia and other forms of bigotry are somewhat tolerated.

    Lots of professions in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq...

    As for this country don't recall many rugby players, of both codes, coming out until they stopped playing.
    Trying to think of any cricket players...
    Don't recall too many trawler men or dockers for that matter.

    Sorry Castro not trying to catch you out. I just knew he had come out but didn't know the circumstances. Apart from Tom Daley I don't really know of many other sportsmen. Obviously there are plenty of women, specifically tennis stars.
